This transfer portal stuff better get ironed out...I'm only a casual observer of college football and I'm already sick of hearing announcers tell me about all the colleges every player used to play for.

How about you can only make one transfer?

At this point there isn't really anything they can do. Anytime the NCAA tries to change something it either gets blocked by the courts or states change legislation to stop the NCAA changes being legal in their state.

Close the winter portal is all they can do and extend the spring one. But coaches and conferences won't want that.

Or bring back the sit out a year rules. So many players at their 3rd 4th or even 5th school.

Look at the QB for Oregon who just entered the portal 2 weeks after signing his Loi as an incoming highschool player

As per usual, the benefits of a player being blocked in his position who may genuinely need the move to have any chance of an NFL career entering for the right reason is being abused and turned the whole thing to a facial situation.
