I think it was a very good crowd. Overs for me.
It was a tad more than I thought. It would have been 55-60 if it was a 2:10 game though.

Q Clash will push 30k despite predicted showers. Don't think there will be any games this season in Brizzy that go under 28-29k if the Lions start winning some games. Should comfortably avg. 30k for the season.

Eagles have the same issue as Essendon and Carlton in particular at marvel, a massive reserved seat members allocation, which stuffs the ability to get 60k.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe those reserved seats would have already been paid for, so probably not a whole lot of incentive for the club to do something about it.
Averages for today's games since 2000 would suggest we'll fall short of 100k today.

I'd expect the total to be slightly higher than that but 100k does seem out of reach.

Correct and clubs tried to offer members to give the seat back for games they wouldn't be attending, but the incentive was crap, something like $20 off next year's membership, when the seat it valued at $65 per game.
Also you could be sitting in an Essendon members reserved seat section and some random drunk opposition fan bought the seat that was given back and ruins it for everybody in the area that thought they were sitting in a club members section only. So it devalued the reserved seat membership, because why pay that much when opposition fans infiltrate the area and carry on like idiots anyway.
As with most things at club level, it wasn't thought out very well so the buyback system kinda tanked a few years ago. That's why we always get sold out crowds well under capacity.
Anything with a 3 in front I will be happy with.
Being orthodox Easter might hurt a bit as Richmond and I guess along with Collingwood would probably have the most Greek supporters.
We normally have 10 of us but there is six of us today as the others are celebrating orthodox Easter.
it's a beautiful day, kids love this time slot and I reckon you could be right re crowd as its still building up nicely.

I was at an Easter lunch today which included 4 Richmond members who usually go most weeks, but opted to skip attending today's match.
I will be better informed in 48 hours once we see ticket sales tracking a bit more. Early indications support a decent crowd. Weather permitting obviously.
Good time slot, two teams performing well. Early guess 38-40K but I will get a feel in a few days. I will say this though, it could surprise to upside. I’d say it will be a large GA member rollup so as long as the stadium / Club don’t frighten club GA members away with any bulletins about sellouts then who knows what it could be.
