I'm assuming the 27,009 for the St Kilda - North Melbourne game would be the best ever lowest attendance in a given round since we've had 18 clubs (i.e. the highest 9th best attendance in a round)?

I'm trying to out-compete the attendance geeks on here for novel records.

Nice try, but the record is 30,047 (Bris v Melb) in Round 2 2023.

Good stat to find, though.

Rounds 1, 7 & 8 have been the only 'normal' 9 game rounds so far this year - and they've all topped 400k and become the 3 highest attended rounds in history.

Fair to say the crowds are going ok at the moment.

Since Andrew Dillon has taken over the role of CEO scheduling seems to have improved dramatically. Big games falling on big time slots, utilising key holidays to advantage, implementing 'rivalry rounds' and the like all while staying within the parameters of their obligations to player health, fixture fairness, stadium and TV.

He came out with a plan for fixturing, changed a few cogs and delivered. Credit where credit is due. 👏

Blues v dees is massive unders

I would say the pies / eagles would be higher but for it being on Mothers Day
No Blues and Dees is not massive unders.
Thursday night and Carlton are coming off a loss in a game that had 88K people attend. There will be a drop off from them.
Thursday nights are no good for crowds normally.

Last year round 22 the game drew 68k on a Saturday night (albeit, clashing with the Matildas Quarter Final).
Its going to be similar, around the 60-65K mark.
