I’d be surprised if there’s 85k here. Plenty of empty seats in the Ponsford and MCC.

Brian said 88-90, take that with a grain of salt.I’d be surprised if there’s 85k here. Plenty of empty seats in the Ponsford and MCC.
I said to someone yesterday that it’d be right around the same as the 2022 game. Almost bang on.Carlton v Collingwood = 88,362
Don't understand how it was only 500 more then the Geelong game88,362 - biggest Carlton Collingwood home and away match
Games with some general admission have an unlimited potential for large crowds. Every club has 50k GA members that they won't turn away.Don't understand how it was only 500 more then the Geelong game
It still looked great and esp the pre game with super star Robbie Williams singing for the Peter Mac Cup Foundation!Great crowd and full of voice. Weird to think that Carl & Coll have never hit 90K against each other in a H&A game.
These days It is so hard to hit 90K+ in a home and away game (excluding Anzac day).
Recall in 2018 rich v pies most saying it would hit 90k+ and it came in at 88,180
They never sell as many standing room tickets for H&A games than they do for finals games either, even if tickets are sold out. Not sure exactly how many but the difference is at least a thousand or two, meaning that the real capacity for H&A games is a decent chunk below 100,000.Great crowd and full of voice. Hoping for two more for Melbourne this year both against the Pies and Kings Birthday will be high 80s you’d think. 70k against Carlton the only other chance but it won’t get that on a Thursday night.
Hoping for 45K against the Cats this week.
I doubt it. It will probably be 50-52k somewhere. I don’t even know if it’s sold out.Great crowd. Shows how hard cracking 90k is.
The largest West Coast-Essendon crowd in Perth is 52,810. Is this any chance of being beaten? 55,096 is the overall largest between these two teams. Maybe a stretch too far?
Yep, looks like it’s sold out.I doubt it. It will probably be 50-52k somewhere. I don’t even know if it’s sold out.
Yep it looks like it’s full to capacity for tonight! We should see a big crowd for Eagles & Bombers.I doubt it. It will probably be 50-52k somewhere. I don’t even know if it’s sold out.
I’ll be happy with 50,000. Still have my range of 47-52kI think the dees v cats Saturday night should get around 60,000! Dees got 43,000 v Brisbane so will be pushing 60,000!
Brian Taylor is usually close as he gets updates from the MCC who know how many are in the ground at any time due to the scanning of tickets.Brian said 88-90, take that with a grain of salt.
MCC double ups are such a problem imo.

Looks a good crowd, but wonder weather forecast aside, whether this would've made for a better twilight or even Saturday night fixture?Considering the terrible forecast that no doubt put a few off, its a good crowd at the scg.
Well, yes. The early Sat arvo spot prone to clash with other activities like junior sport but thats a problem not specific to Sydney.Looks a good crowd, but wonder weather forecast aside, whether this would've made for a better twilight or even Saturday night fixture?
