YesYou think he has the tank to play wing ?
Our game is so reliant on scrambling and chaos footy. I don’t get why we try to become a slick ball movement team. just kick long, create outnumbers and we’ll get something going our way more times than not. We have big bodies across the field. Seems like we lose a bit of ourselves when we try to become a back half team.
Our game is built on pressure and intensity - if we don't bring that (like tonight) we will look very similar to the first half of 2023.We were barely going half pace and many look disinterested. As such I can’t read anything into game plan, skill, connection etc

its what you get when you are playing a long hole and tee off with a wedge.I call it as I see it. That first half was rubbish. Irrespective if its a practice match.
Didn't realise he was quite so "weedy". Is that image abuse?Orazio could be a tremendous get.
Think he still had his leg rope attached -- but may very smart when he goes up the ground he hands off and waits for us to kick it back to him ..I don't get why Charlie isn't steaming around more. He's meant to have a massive tank yeah?
We're not thin on forward options, and he's no use to us while he's scrambling around without any regard for system. Not even kidding I'd like to see us bring in Monahan for E.Hollands the first 2 rounds. Kids built like some sort of Frankenstenian creation. Power, Speed, Agility... He's a freak.
Give him a go and see what he can do while our fwd options are thin.
Cottrell remains someone who is more forward than mid, has an elite running capacity, but not much feel for defending or creating an attack, certainly from midfield anyway.Has Cotterell lost his spot. I saw more from Billy Wilson in 3 minutes compared to cotters in 83.
We hear this every year but it was a different era, where we had a lot of proven players, whether their proving grounds had been in the VFL or interstate.Meh, in our golden years 70's & 80's I dont ever remember us winning a practice game. come round one we would trounce the opponent.
We certainly led the way with standards back in the day…one of the first teams to move to menthols..We hear this every year but it was a different era, where we had a lot of proven players, whether their proving grounds had been in the VFL or interstate.
Easy to do the extra running and destroy your opponents with an outnumber due to the lack of consistent professional standards across the league, a situation our club later fell into and is arguably still climbing out of.

exactly. We are a poor skilled team with a slow midfield. The margin should of been a 10 goal plus belting if Melbourne kicked straight. Our game is built on pressure and intensity - if we don't bring that (like tonight) we will look very similar to the first half of 2023.
Are you suggesting that our midfield, in its current form, is a negative?exactly. We are a poor skilled team with a slow midfield. The margin should of been a 10 goal plus belting if Melbourne kicked straight.
