We could probably do the 13/29 for 16/21 trade with GWS and still get Armstrong plus a choice mid like Gross who we have been linked to.

Then get Ough and Nicholls/West later. Soz Gerreyn fans. :(

Freo will probably take Berry if they jump over us, West Coast will still take Hotton and Twomey doesn't think GWS have any interest in Armstrong.

Armstrong and Hynes would be possible in that scenario? Reckon that would be a great outcome

It's possible but Alger/Hannaford/Gross more likely.

Then hint to WC that if Reid is gone, we take Hotton. Then WC don't do the trade.
I'm sure all sorts of bluffs are being played, doubt Eagles fall for it though.

Question would be if we play a bluff saying there's interest in our pick 13 because clubs want Berry. Then I wonder whether Freo give up 14 and 30 to move up that one spot.

I am not a fan of trading back if it risks not getting anyone from my top 15 (18 if you count Ashcroft/Kako/Lombard).- I want at least one from that group. Quality over quantity.

My top 15 (18) is everyone in Twomey's top 17 and Hotton- as far as I'm concerned there is then a quality/ risk of failure gap.

That makes this scenario almost certain- we don't trade back and instead we select someone from below my 15 (18) line, like a Whitlock. Happens most years.

Chances our a couple from outside of your top 15 have already been taken anyway so they are still available.

I think I will be reasonably happy with however this plays out tonight. There isn’t really a player I wouldn’t want ranked between that 10 and 18 picks. Probably the worst scenario for me would be Whitlock but I could see him becoming a really good player so would be ok, if not totally stoked with it.

It’s tomorrow nights pick I am more concerned about.
