One of the watch outs is who Finn Maginess tags each game...

First four games of the year you would think it will be:

1. Merrett
2. Clarry
3. Danger? No one relevant
4. Daicos

Might be a reason to not pick Daicos at the start of the year, as Maginess will be wearing him like a glove

For a long time I just assumed that R0 thing was a split first round. I didn’t know they were having a proper R0 with the R0 sides having an extra in-season bye. What the actual ****. Ruins Fantasy.

I hate it
Very strange move just to get a few games in QLD and NSW while the NRL is away. Why not just make that round one and have the other teams playing Saturday/Sunday?

Not going to stress about it until SC announces how things will work.

This importantly !!!!

So there are bye 5 rounds with only 2 teams missing. If these are best 18 they can almost be ignored.

Round 6 a Richmond or Melbourne rookie COULD be ready to trade out, as they will have had 4 price rises. Even Syd/Coll players the round before after 3 rises.

Just depends on how round 0 will be scored, taking the bare minimum then loading up in round 1 looks is the play.

Good to know our new CEO is a dumb c**t. There isnt a perfect solution to this but I'd consider.

Best 12 R1, players locked that have played, then unlimited trades for unlocked players Round 1. Think this is the best solution from a competitive standpoint but that might not be enough. Issues include - How they can make it so you can trade locked players while having unlimited trades for unlocked players in R1, not knowing your structure but having locked players (we won't if we have enough playing rooks to run our structure) so might be frustrating to have select players locked.

Anything that skips R0 or reset your team after R0 means a lot of these premiums will be redundant for early in the season as they're about to have a bye, especially GWS/Sydney who have two byes in the first 12 weeks. Esentially there will be less viable players to pick from, we're all picking from a smaller pool of players which means teams are more likely to look similar. There may also be issues with price changes, do they just completely ignore R0 scores as if they didnt exist? It also gives a free look at a lot of players when those who did more preseason research have less advanage. From a competitive standpoint I hate either of these solutions but it might be the most practical and easiest to understand. Anything that makes a casual user have to even remotely think can turn them off.

Whatever happens, happens. SuperCoach is the loser regardless and we'll see bigger drop offs with more byes and less signups with round zero bullshit. One more thing - Go **** yourself Dillion you ****sucker

Problem is SC won’t announce it until halfway through Round 5 once half the teams are already locked. Nelso

Odd rankings. Melbourne play 8 games interstate and every club that finished above them twice.
I don't put too much creedence in these things ....who knows which teams will rise & fall

RD0 - should not be counted - you can't even fill a half proper team!

As for the remaining rounds, they are just trying to get us used to having a bye every week, given that we'll go to 19 teams comp when the Tassie Devils come in

RIP SuperCoach

After having a close look I think we could work with this fixture. The biggest thing is that Supercoach would have to allow unlimited trades still after the opening round of 4 games and if coaches want to pick players that have already played before Round 1 then that is their decision. But saying this any scores from the "Opening round" would still be available to be used towards the Round 1 score but not as a captains score. If you select a player that played in the "Opening round" in round 1 then you get the higher score from the 2 games.
For example, say Clayton Oliver scores 150 in the opening round then 70 in round 1 you get the 150 but you understand that in Round 6 you don't have him as a scoring player. Still best 22 so it comes down to tactics.
