Bartel, Joel Corey, Chapman, SJ and Ablett era? This is for the history buffs out there, has there even been a midfield trio that polled as much as the swans trio did this year ? Their accomplishments is getting overshadowed by the 45 vote record.

And he didn't poll a vote in Opening Round. After that in the 12 Carlton wins 10 3 votes and 2 2 votes (against Freo and Essendon)It's actually a sad reflection of the rest of our team this year. Walshy down, Curnow down ... they're the guys who normally would take votes off him. This is by far Cripps' best season for us. His consistency was incredible.
Cripps has had a fair whack of Botox for tonight hasn’t he? Forehead is not moving
Umpires are probably so focused on trying to interpret the rules and looking for off the ball stuff, that they don't see which players were the best on the ground. All they seem to remember is who touched the ball the most.Umpires after a game flop exhausted into the rooms, just having a quiet moment until someone sparks up "so who gets the votes" and there is a collective "**** me, I dunno" groan. Quite often its the midfielder with distinctive hair because they're in front of the umpires most of the game, even if someone else has a blinder.
Hamish reaching new heights of cringe.
I can’t watch anymore.
Played one good quarter and even then they still lost. Baffling.
You think they would take a couple off crippaWe got the two best forwards in the league who hardly got any votes.
Great effort to get so many votes.
Is a concern I think that the count is so top heavy. 22 used to win this medal. (Back when forwards defenders and rucka polled votes). Now half a dozen finish with that many.
Makes it a bit boring in a way. Not to take anything away from Patrick and Nick, but are they really that much better than everyone else?

And yet got 8 coaches votes, so even Ross thought that he went o.k.Played one good quarter and even then they still lost. Baffling.
Yea an understatementDisgusting.
Diesel doesn’t even know what year it is
I mean, they're forwards, that's usually how it goes
Crazy to think if Sydney lose the granny, Heeney - who you could argue as being the best player this year and BOG in both finals - is likely to finish the season with no awards outside of an AA.
And if swans win, he's every chance for a premiership, norm smith and Gary Ayres, returning the world to normal.

Different skippers. Cripps is a beast. Pendlebury sets up moreWell done Patrick. Very humble and gracious of him to admit that Pendlebury has been a far better captain than himself.
