a midfield of lalor, smillie & allan would be hilarious if, in the unlikely event, all 3 were to become stars. 3 beasts. i say unlikely not because i think they're worse than other prospects, historically it's just more likely only 1 or 2 of them would become stars, ****in better not be 0
Dusty , Cripps & Bont all in the same team

Is the difference between smillie and FOS that big?

About 12-13cm….

Hear me out. There's a world in which we trade 10 and 18 for pick 2 and Norf still get Tauru and Armstrong. This is where the evenness of this draft works for both of us.

1. Lalor (RI)
2. Ashcroft (BR)
3. FOS (RI)
4. Draper (CA)
5. Langford (AD)
6. Lombard (GC)
7. Reid (ME)
8. Smillie (RI)
9. Lindsay (St K)
10. Travaglia (St K)
11. Allan (ME)
12. Tauru (NM)
13. Hotton (RI)
14. Smith (WC)
15. Kako (ES)
16. Berry (PA)
17. Hannaford (FR)
18. Shanahan (GWS)
19. Hynes (GWS)
20. Trainor (WB)
21. Armstrong (NM)
22. Dattoli (SY)
23. J. Whitlock (RI)
24. Marshall (BR)
25. Gross (GWS)
26. Davis (SY)
27. M. Whitlock (RI)
28. Faull (ES) (trade an F1 and pick 40ish to us for this)
29. Oliver (WB)
30-39. A.Bunchaduds (Loser Clubs)
40. A.Champion (RI)

Send in the ticket, Sonny.
At this rate, by the time the draft comes around Jagga will slide to a SPP train on.

St Kilda has told clubs it is open to splitting one of its top-10 selections in this year’s draft as part of a strategy to capitalise on the depth in this year’s talent pool.

The Saints have picks seven and eight in this year’s draft and have indicated they could be interested in trading one of them for two picks later in the first round.

The two clubs best-placed to do a deal with the Saints are Richmond (which has 18, 20 and 23) and GWS Giants (15, 16 and 21).
This article contains features which are only available in the web versionTake me there
It means the Saints could take a top-line midfielder at pick seven and then snare two players in the back-end of the first-round with its Josh Battle compensation selection.
It would be a bold call from the Saints but recruiters are excited about the level of talent on offer through the back end of the first-round.

The move would effectively see the Saints take three players potentially inside the top-20 of a draft scouts are calling the strongest in several years.

St Kilda may also pull the trigger on draft night, depending on what players are available at pick seven and eight and what deals the Giants and Tigers are prepared to complete.

However, the article never mentions the saints are looking to move up to pick 2, only that they want more picks in the 1st round. No doubt posters will put 2 and 2 together and get 5. LOL

If we go after pick 2 it will be with 7 + F1.

The rumour is that they would send their F2 back our way.

We could then try send 8,32+Norths or even our own F2 for 15,16,21

In: 2,15,16,21

Out: 7,8,F1 Saints, F2 Saints/North

Would still hold a second third and fourth in 2025 when 2 years future trading comes in.

After watching Murphy Reid’s national championships highlights, I just can’t help not see the great Shane Edwards in him.
Clean hands, excellent user by foot, great at weaving out of traffic and has some magic with a handball too.

It’s likely we will get a KPF at pick 10 (please be Armstrong or Shanahan) but I’d be very keen to take Reid at 11.

In talks with Port at the moment re: Pick 10
I'm trying to process how this makes sense for us? It can only mean a shuffle back?
Maybe Ports first and future first? We don't actually need more picks in this draft.

I don't understand why we'd be prepared to shuffle back.

I already feel the headache coming on.

Don't think they have an F1 do they? Don't GC have it?

Don't see what Port has to offer that we'd want. They don’t have a F1, we don't need 29 and the only way we'd entertain swapping 10 for 13 (plus something) would be if they want to pick up a slider live on draft night.

Or if we were planning on trading out a first rounder to move up? Who knows, literally 100’s of possibilities

You’d imagine it would be step one of a multiple stepped process
