If we’re going for 1,2,6 has to be Lalor, FOS, Smith

I’d rather Langford in those picks. Anyway let’s see how it goes

Because I’m bored as hell, here’s my first revised first round mock + pick 1 of Round 2.

I’ve assumed NO trades, but the exercise makes me think there’ll be at least 4 or 5. A few trade up/backs and one or two trade in/outs.

Some of the same ‘why’s’ as before where the logic or selection hasn’t changed.

Pick 1 - Richmond - Sam Lalor - why? Seems as if the jungle drums are all beating in this direction.

Pick 2 - Brisbane - Levi Ashcroft (matched bid)

Pick 3 - North Melbourne - Finn O'Sullivan - why? If kept or if traded suspect FOS will be the selection.

Pick 4 - Carlton - Sid Draper - why? If not FOS then Draper

Pick 5 - Adelaide - Harvey Langford - why? If not Draper than Langford according to the rumours

Pick 6 - Melbourne - Josh Smillie - why? Could be Jagga Smith but possibly prefer the bigger body

Pick 7 - Richmond - Jagga Smith - best midfielder available

Pick 8 - Essendon - Isaac Kako (matched bid)

Pick 9 - Suns - Leo Lombard (matched bid)

Pick 10 - Saints - Murphy Reid - why? Best midfielder available.

Pick 11 - Saints - Alixzander Tauru - why? Josh Battle replacement + add to KPD stocks.

Pick 12 - Melbourne - Xavier Lindsay - why? Possible Brayshaw replacement

Pick 13 - Richmond - Tobie Travaglia - why? Might be moved on draft night, a lot of teams apparently keen for Tobie

Pick 14 - Richmond - Harry Armstrong - why? Best KPF available

Pick 15 - West Coast - Bo Allan - why? - not because of a local, but best available.

Pick 16 - Port - Taj Hotton - why? Could move up for Travaglia but could see this being a swing from Port

Pick 17 - Fremantle - Joe Berry - why? Not really in need for much, but possibly a stay at home small forward.

Pick 18 - Giants - Cooper Hynes - why? GWS tend to draft high athlete types, don’t mind Hynes’ physical profile.

Pick 19 - Giants - Alex Dodson - probably the biggest hole on the Giants list is Ruck.

Pick 20 - Brisbane - Sam Marshall (matched bid).

Pick 21 - Western Bulldogs - Ollie Hannaford - why? WB are pretty well covered, Hannaford the next best small forward

Pick 22 - Richmond - Luke Trainor - why? Concussion issues a concern but this may be where the reward is greater than the risk.

Pick 23 - Sydney - Jobe Shanahan - Sydney aren’t in need of a lot, but maybe another KPF to develop if there is any concerns around Logan McDonald long term.

Pick 24 - Richmond - Jasper Alger - why? Seemingly garnering strong links with both Richmond and around the 20s.

Pick 25 - Giants - Jesse Dattoli - why? Went midfielder and ruck first two picks, a high IQ small forward might be the go.

Pick 26 - Sydney - Tom Gross - why? Can see this pick being moved, but Gross has traits the Sydney seem to like.

Pick 27 - Richmond - Jack Whitlock - why? Project forward that can also play KPD.

Pick 28 - Richmond - Christian Moreas - why? One thing Richmond haven’t really got from this draft is an outside midfielder. I’m not a huge fan of Moreas but fits the bill here.

Have at it.

Oh gawd RATD multi quote incoming do you know what you have done?

Also is Lalor deciding to go play cricket if it gets too hard and the Hammys don’t hold up a worry, especially being a number one pick?

The de goey comparison is a concern more than a postive in my mind.
Lalor is on the heavy side for a mid and de goey can hardly stay on the park for a big portion of his career.
Blokes like petracca are one in a thousand and his work off the track is second to none.
Is Lalor that commited? Will it be easier to fall back to another sport if his body doesn’t hold up?
hes mot a superstar at cricket
afl is definatley his money maker

Do you need help reading campaigner? Smillie over Smith, take the win that you got 2 out 3 right. It’s two more than tiger_tough ever gets right.

Try and pay you a compliment and you tickle TTs balls.

Not cool

You must do the same

lol never ever have I stepped 1 foot on your page.
You need to ask yourself why would I or others need to?

We hold the whip hand and any potential deal made will be in our favour. That's a given.
Its North who are desperate to split their pic 2. We are quite happy to hold our pics which is eight in the top 24 and North have one solitary pick 2 that they will most likely need to use on Alix Tauru

The future 1st is the key for Tigers. The most valuable of any club as we are a definite bottom 4 side.

Brother. You tried to auction it off for pick 13 on its own.
Once that happened, you won't get offers any better than that again.

Richmond don’t want to deal pick 6 or 24 in any trades.

Edit.
People are under estimating the demand that will be there for pick #24 in this draft
just about guaranteed future 1st rounder's will be offered for this pick where Richmond most likely have some nice choices to select from.

#6 - Richmond clearly have a player they believe has a very good chance to be available at that selection which they want and it might actually be Tauru or Smillie

Very enviable position to be in and the Rioli trade looks like 1 of the best trade's to be completed as the #23 has allowed Richmond to select their player and have the ability to trade out the #24

Thanks for the Info C4

Allow me to introduce this talking point.
If we go in with picks 1 and 6 where does Lalor go if we don't take him with pick 1?
In many draft rankings I've seen Lalor ranked around 3-6.

It's no secret I'd prefer we took FOS at pick 1.
I'd argue that Lalor is more likely to slide than FOS is.

Richmond - FOS
North - Tauru
Carlton - Jagga/Langford/Lalor
Adelaide - Draper
Melbourne - Smilie/Langford/Lalor
Richmond - Lalor/Smilie/Jagga

Whereas we know FOS will get taken at pick 3 if he is still there.

This post is shrouded in bias but thought it's just as good as most of the BS that gets talked about in here.

If we don't end up with 2, it's because the Saints do. They'll take him with 2. If not, Carlton probably (assuming FOS is gone)

I dont believe either last to pick #6 and both will be gone by pick #4

#1 has to be Sam Law La now
he is 100% my preferred and whilst i had FOS as the #2 im now leaning towards Jagga but its 45/55
