Richmond swap pick 10 to Port for 13 & 29
Richmond swap picks 11 & 23 to GWS for 15 & 16
Richmond swap picks 13 & 15 to Roos for pick 2 (remember Carlton got pick 3 for 12 & 14 reckon we can offer North something similar and if that isn't enough throw in pick 29)
Richmond go to the draft with picks 1, 2, 6, 16, 18, 20 & 24.
This is pretty much the only combo that works unless we give north 10 and 11. Port seem to be getting ripped off though.

North I do not think will go for 13 and 15 for 2

Not sure on the merits of 11 and 23 for 15 and 16 either, GWS might not go with that either as they may not want those picks

if we have to cut our picks might be better off chasing Saints pick 8

13, 15 and 29 and they need to make a decision, get multiple picks in the draft or just take Tarau at pick 2.

GWS looking for a higher pick, both picks balance each other out, was just playing on the rumours that we were in talks with GWS & Port to get pick 2.

We can't use 8 picks. That's the issue. I hate what we've done re: Colina. Dump him.
The last player picked on our list is nothing to get worked up about. Hopefully Mate can get on the park and have a crack.

Undoubtable we will trade out one or two pick for futures so won't be an issue of having too many players picked.

Yeah on first glance, as I mentioned above was just playing off on those rumours re GWS & Port. Also pick 10 is similar to pick 13 & 29.
If you're North you're surely on the phone to GWS and saying swap pick #16 for F1. Then they go to the draft with 2 and 16.

Even if we offer 10 & 11 they might not take it because while there's a clear top 6 or 7 before Tauru, they run the risk of him being gone at 10.

They obviously want Pick 6 or 7 plus a late 1st.

Realistically the Tiges need to weigh up if 6 & 11 is worth 2 and F1. Or whether fos/jagga is better than smillie/Langford.

I agree with you. I just cannot work out what the deal outcome will be by including Port and GWS in the negotiations for pick 2. Surely has to include 6, but C4[2]Yo`DooR has said 6 & 24 are off the table. And what benefit will be there for each club, as none of the clubs will want to give up too much for what they are getting?
Can’t see us getting 2 unless 6 is involved, unless future picks are going to be accepted by one or some of the clubs involved, and I’d think that’s unlikely given this is a deep and reportedly good draft.
Involving the other clubs is strange for me, because if we ultimately agree to give up 6, we would surely just offer 6, and say 18 directly to North? Bit to play out yet I guess

Saints aren’t involved from what been mentioned so far. Port, GWS & North apparently

I can only guess that it's an effort to snooker North by taking GWS's picks of the table and eliminating the 2 & 16 scenario. Then offer them 6 & 18 take it or leave it.

Can't work out what trading to Port gets us and can you imagine the response here if the offer was the other way around, we'd tell them to ggf. Giving up a second round pick for moving three whole places.

I don't think North would even consider that.

Three picks in the teens might get them to move, and I'd still do that I think.

I think it’s got a lot to do with discussions we have had with North about pick 2 at a guess. They will have outlined what they are after and we will try and strike an arrangement with other clubs that gets close to what we, they and the other clubs want.
The rhetoric that we will just shaft them is wrong imo. As I said, I reckon that Blair will try and get them close to what they want, and do a deal that suits all parties. Just imo
