Thinking maybe if it was for Langford, Smillie or Jagga. For Lindsay or Reid I'd probably rather just hold or offer 18 & 20
unless we end up with Pick2, there is no point in doing it allNot overly keen to include 10 or 11 in a Saints trade. Don't see much point in them doing it if we don't.

They'd be rapt to get pick 18 for their F1. This way they get it and keep their F1.
Good comments, also interesting that Trainor is taken so late. I hope we do due diligence
Thanks for your in-depth information. Thread good for another 40 pages dissecting it.It’s been a few weeks but here is the latest I’ve heard.
Lalor definitely going at 1.
We don’t rate FOS. Quote I heard is “his attitude doesn’t match his talent” or something to that effect and that he doesn’t have the “Richmond Man” qualities the recruiters look for.
North have offered 2 scenarios which have been widely reported in the media, pick 2 for 6 & 18 or pick 2 & Nth F1 for 6 & 11.
Tigers have so far knocked back both. They were interested in 6 & 11 for 2 & F1 but more because the F1 is likely top 5 next year which is appealing as it would obviously give us 2 very high end picks in next years draft. The stumbling block is we think the talent that will be available at pick 11 is potentially as good as a top 5 pick next year and as mentioned above, we don’t want FOS so the other options that have been widely reported as available at pick 6 would be the players we would be taking at 2. The socials team have done videos for Smillie, Jagger, Langford so I’m assuming the club is banking that at least 1 will be available at 6 given we will take Lalor and it’s expected Nth will take Tauru and Blues will take FOS (& potentially crows take Draper). My mate has no idea who it is that we like or want most at 6, he said it’s all super hush hush in the club, but the work they have done for Lalor packages is way more than everyone else which should tell you something…
The club doesn’t like 6 & 18 combo for the same reasons in regard to the upgrade to 2 but also because the initial discussions with other clubs has plenty of interest in 18 being the landing place of clubs that will offer F1’s for next year. (I’m assuming here that we are thinking an F1 from Bombers, Saints etc could be just as easily better than Norths F1 next year with no certainties on where any of the battler clubs will finish…)
I think from what I’ve been told we will keep 1,6,10,11 and use 3 on mids and 1 kpp and then for the right offer 18 will be traded for a future pick and the picks in the 20’s we are happy to shuffle and accumulate futures as long as they also come as part of slides this year that fall within the top 25-40 (similar scenario to last year). We will take a minimum of 6 picks this year, potentially 7 but it’s a certainty that 18 will be used in exchange for a F1.
During trade week when I gave the information in regard to the Dockers trade pretty much everything came to fruition or remains consistent with the exception of the Whitlock boys. Back then I think the club was interested in pairing them and believed it was a realistic chance to happen but with some of the offers we are fielding for our later picks, I think the clubs strategy has shifted and now it’s looking pretty unlikely for that to happen and instead for pick 10 or 11 to be used on the best available KPP.
Anyway that’s all I’ve got for now, hopefully my mate can jag a few more bits of info before draft night…
We 100% should take a defender
Been on the Clarke bandwagon for a while now..we always take one out of left field hopefully it is Angus he is an excellent playerWonder if we draft Christian Moraes with pick 24, outside midfielder, elite runner, hit the scoreboard quite a bit as well in the coates talent league. Feel like he would compliment a tandem of Lalor and Smilie, as would Joe Berry at pick 11. We need some transition runners to cover them a little bit
Feel like Angus clarke is a good option as well, has more speed than Jaques and Oliver. As has been mentioned lids is his manager and hartley and blair have a pretty good relationship
Did we consider jr8 to be a key forward at 193?It’s as much to do with how someone plays, not their height. Rampe (187cm) plays more like a KPD than Blakey (196cm) does.
Sicily (188cm) is more of a KPP than Weddle (191cm). Sicily has played on Tom Lynch many times … I can’t imagine Weddle ever lining up on Lynch.
So Bauer being 192cm doesn’t settle arguments either way. It’ll come to light as he gets more games whether he plays like a KPP, or plays like a ‘3rd tall / flanker’. His height won’t be the deciding factor.

he was in 2017, taller than LockettDid we consider jr8 to be a key forward at 193?

Throw a blanket over all of those. Stkilda are drafting for needs.how would richmond rank Armstrong, Murphy Reid, Xavier Lindsay, Bo Allan, Joe Berry and Tobie Travaglia?
If we do trade with St Kilda there is everychance we end up with 3 of them
Riewoldt’s footy IQ, especially inside 50 was always severely underrated. Was able to play plenty of different forward styles that matched the players around him. He was always ultra competitive. You would take Jack by him self over some of the other teams 2 key forward combinations. Was a lone soldier in 2017 with Caddy playing as a second tall.
Shows it can be done.
The key in 2017 is we ensured the ball went to ground no matter what and stopped the opposition from intercept marking

If Essendon hadn’t been lucky and played Hawthorn at the start of the season when the Harks lost 5 straight, then Essendon would have finished 14th. I cannot see them improving next year and will probably drop below Adelaide. So if I was chasing a F1 I would be looking to sell a late pick to Essendon not doing a deal that involves pick 6 to North. The 6 + 18 is the correct trade but i would be pushing for 6+11 for #2 + F1
If #6 is involved then the F1 from north must be included
the only 2 offers i would have infront of norf are
#10 + #20 for #2
#6 + #11 for #2 + F1
Otherwise take our picks

Honestly dude the desperation is embarrassing.. you're like a Gray st hooker near sunrise trying to get anyone to pay for her mangy bits ..Langford or Smile at pick 6 is entertaining possible potato territory.
Draper or FOS at 2 is where the party is at.

heck off SOSI’d imagine we want both Giants picks (15+16) and can offer them 32 or 47.
I wonder if there is any chance you do 8+F1+ 32 for 10+11
Moraes is one I'd give a wide berth, does some nice things but his disposal is poor.Wonder if we draft Christian Moraes with pick 24, outside midfielder, elite runner, hit the scoreboard quite a bit as well in the coates talent league. You're dreamin mate.Herald Sun reporting that
Saints are in talks with Richmond and the Giants about one of our picks (likely 8)
We want 2 later first rounders.
Yeah it'd be real shit to draft a CHF.Hope we don’t waste picks on talls.
Need to build on the middle area between the 2 arcs
