Honestly dude the desperation is embarrassing.. you're like a Gray st hooker near sunrise trying to get anyone to pay for her mangy bits ..
Just take pick 2 to the draft and get a good night's sleep
..you'll respect yourself so much more in the morning
Reading through this thread about 50% of your fellow Tiger supporters agree with me.

Not sure where the anger is coming from.

Just pointing out Draper or Fos better than Langford or Smile.

Would be a waste for Tigers not to take the best two mids when you have the capital to do so.

The difference in the tear of player isn’t worth the price though….that’s the point.

Ok. NOBODY knows who will really be the best 2 mids in 3 to 5 years. You may think you know but you don’t.

Langford could easily develop into a Bontempelli and Smillie could become a Cripps and then both may be better than those other 2 who are undersized in comparison.

There are very few guarantees in this business.

Pretty much this. This is a deep draft, but there is no standout player at pick 2 like Harley Reid or Judd and Hodge from the 2001 draft. If there was then I think we would be saying we should be trading for pick 2, but on the flip side if there was a stand out player at pick 2 North probably wouldn't be trying to split it.

No anger mate .. I'm just being a bit of a smart arse...just for the record I'm in the other 50% ,I think the first 6/7 picks are much of a muchness so I'm happy to go with 1 and 6 .I also think that picks 10 and 11 are going to be very important to hold onto

I personally say we shouldn't draft rucks at all. Anyone noticed what our 1st rucks over the last 20 years have in common (Stafford, Maric, Simmonds, Nankervis)?

We got them through trade.

You've cherry picked our Ruck "success" trades. Maric and Simmons both had 1 great year and 2 ok years. Stafford had 2 or 3 good years. Nank 3 - 4 sevicable to good years. In the previous 30 years we've traded and cheaply drafted in 5 x as many rucks who were busts. Hampson cost 2 x 2nd rounders and I don't think he played 1 decent game.

We've got the perfect draft hand to fill every line. For so many years we've only had 1 top 25 pick so we always took a mid or bloody hbf. If we take a Dodson with one of our last picks he gets a perfect run up of 3 years development in the magoos while Nank deteriorates and Samson's contract evaporates. In that time him and our incoming batch of mids will develop beautiful synchronicity where they can read each other and know what each other's thinking instinctively. It's about time we paid the price and developed a 10 + year ruck instead of taking dregs. I'm sick of watching Nank get outrucked by any and every ruck.

We deserve to see our mids get 1st use for a change. I dare you to watch that 2022 final against Brisbane when Mcinerny went down and an unopposed Nank still kept tapping it down Lachie Neales throat. For too many years our mids have watched blokes like Fyfe, Oliver, Pendlebury, etc. run past their ruck and without breaking stride have it land in their laps. No more budget Naismiths, Knobels, Graham, Browne, Derrickx, Orrin Stephenson, Marsh. We've got 8 picks.... 1 must be used on Ruck. We can afford to skimp on hbf for once.

Probably because in their previous “mail” they said we loved Lalor, FOS and Smillie. Now FOS has an attitude problem.

Also likely because in previous “mail” posts they based it purely on their mate in the socials team making videos on players and putting 2+2 together. This time their mate in the socials team has a quote from the recruiting team about FOS’ attitude which has then been passed on to this guy.
All BS if you ask me.
We're not a leaking ship anymore.

you're against drafting another kpf because pick 43 fawcett is on the list with a bunch of msd hail mary's, thats ****in inspired thinking.
We have 5 forwards we need to develop. Midfields win premierships. Stock it up. Get a tall forward in 12 months. Cokcnose

Thanks for your in-depth information. Thread good for another 40 pages dissecting it.
Mate the campaigner is talking shit

As if Blair is saying that about FOS
He’s lips are tighter than ducks backside

That performance gives me nightmares. Picked out Neale between 2 tigers twice in 5 mins. Once he was the only ruck to go up.

His shitty ruckwork is a large reason our midfield has sucked.

He said he got his information from people working on videos and the like. Never ever said it was from Blair. He’s also the list manager not the head recruiter, he’s going to go on the work done by our late head and his team. Every chance some of them are discussing how they rate the draft.

We don't need to develop 5 forwards though, thats how turning over a list works. How do we develop 6 midfielders concurrent with our existing midfielders? Reckon you've sustained a few too many blows to the back of your throat.

Hard pass on a ruck in the draft. You don't need anyone beyond competitive to win a flag and you don't waste years of development to get that.

The trade for a mid 30s - mid 40s draft pick one day for an established mid 20s ruck is the play, every handful of years.

Maybe have a rookie or two developing on the list that's taken cheaply or a state league guy via the PSD or MSD.

High pick mids are a lot more ready than talls sir. Need midfield depth and running players to replace Rioli, Bolton, Baker etc. Right now. Not in 2 years kid
