Lindsay definitely the safest of those 3 for me (and the best kick of the bunch). His kicking is a weapon, happy to take the more dangerous option if it's there and the ball gets there at pace. Exactly what we need. Pretty hard at it for a guy his size too which is a bonus #contest&defense

The bonus with Lindsay being I dont think he'd look out of place on a back flank in the round 1 team at all, dont need to shoehorn him in positions perfectly capable of playing multiple roles (mid, wing, hbf). Got to get over the Goody/Salem road block of course but **** me it would be nice to replace Salem with Lindsay down back.

yeah Lindsey is definitely the safest option. he's the good footy player.

Allan has the most upside imo, but he is also a riskier proposition. i chose Allan because if we take a safe as houses player like Langford with 5 then i think we can then afford to take that risk.

on the other hand, if Langford is gone and we took Tauru at 5, i see that as a risk, so would then take safer option in Lindsey with 9 instead.

anyway Langford and Lindsey would please me. you can't knock grabbing two good footy players, especially one who can go mid/fwd and the other mid/back.

Levi Ashcroft slipping to pick 5 in the mocks is ludicrous, he is the consensus #1 prospect. The problem is compounded further by the 20% discount Brisbane get by paying for him with a bunch of junk picks.

Isn't there a cash bonus for the first couple of picks or something? Would act as a deterrent from bidding on academy and f/s picks because clubs don't want to stiff there top pick.

Also probably some handshake deals at trade period going on.

Agree the discount needs to be scrapped. If anything it should be a premium.

Haven't really followed the pre-draft period at all this year which has been pleasant, but having looked at Toomey phantom draft, what's the story with Armstrong seemingly dropping out of calculations and down the rankings a fair bit?

I'm all for not drafting young tall forwards at the pointy end given our record at it, but I'd assumed that if any of them were considered genuine top 10 picks then we would have at least been thinking hard about taking one at 9.

Low key hoping we rort them on a split and get 15/16 and take 2 of Reid/Hotton/Berry or Dattoli (supposedly a Rachelle clone).

Don't be fooled by Xavier's demeanour his football IQ is off the charts he determines a forwards running pattern, isn't reactive to what he sees and has a fire deep within that not many have.
Not next season but in seasons to come he will be the one they are talking about
