Sounds like St Kilda want 2 mids so surely they'd take Smilie & another mid. Meaning Tauru would likely slip to us.

Don't know if it's true, but I read on another board that last year we tried to trade up to 3 using our F1. Would likely have meant Duursma for Windsor and Langford. Shows the risk of these sorts of trades.

If true, potentially it reshapes the clubs thoughts at P5 in the event the crows take Langford at P4. Maybe we would go Draper at 5, with the view that Tauru would be a very good chance to get through to P9

There's been no mention of our interest that I'm aware.

All that we really know is that we'd take best available at each pick. At pick 9, with who had presumably already gone for Smillie to get through, you'd have to say it would be highly likely we'd be having a decent look at him there.

The only logical reason Richmond would be looking at trading moving up from 10 to 8 is because they feel very confident in who Melbourne will select at 9 and Richmond want him. Everything points to Allen.

And St.Kilda would probably only go for that deal if they are confident who Richmond would get at 8 and who Melbourne would then take at 9, and St.Kilda aren’t really interested in either of those players.
