Can we just have a plain old draft board in order of selections. This is unnecessary bulltish.

Yeah TBH I am. I really like Berry and would definitely be open to sliding back a few spots from 9 to grab him + maybe Reid or Hynes. I know that flies in the face of giving up a stack of later picks to grab pick 9, but it makes sense to me.

We also have Mentha coming as a rookie as a NGA prospect - a small forward (no guarantees he will be any good).

The biggest change in terms of our lack of speed and pressure up forward though has to come from the coach. He plays three talls + Fritsch + Melk ... just so slow and lumbering. He has to realise speed and pressure are vital in today's footy otherwise it won't matter who we pick.
I would only slide back for Berry if we miss Lindsay.

These two are close to my favourite players for us this draft... outside of Smith, Draper or Lalor.
P5 (lalor smith draper)
P9 (Lindsay Berry) -- (shanahan/armstrong)

The only reason fritta get a game is because he converts really well. His competitiveness is poor when the situation doesn't suit him.

Goody puts enormous belief in contesting loose ball, and when we don't have control of the pill in our forward half. But he's a hypocrite, when it comes to fritta.

Assume this means Jagga is off the board tough, or does this mean we would also pass on Jagga for Tauru?

We would be better off trying to split 5 for 10/11 or 15/16 and snare 2 of Berry/Reid/Hannaford/Hotton if true.

We will be in a position to live trade if who we want isn’t there so we would be idiotic not to. Would be plenty of takers for that pick.
Sounding like the Donald method.

Miss Information is King these days.

I'd melt bigtime if we took Tauru over Draper, I just don't get what we don't like about Draper compared to Tauru.

Tauru has one amazing skill and needs a tonne of time and development, is his ceiling literally Jake Lever 2.0? - happily take him if he's there at 9, but 5 is a massive reach

Draper can play round 1, has all the traits that even Goodwin would value and more. Leadership, professionalism, speed, decent skills, works hard both ways - what's not to like?

Once again, we need Adelaide to save us from ourselves, hope it's not a repeat of 2017
Not happy to take Tauru, unless they think he has forward written all over him, or as an on-baller/follower.

I'm the same with the draft just been watching a few highlights here and there. What I do know is Tauru should not get picked at 5. Wouldn't be best available or a need imo, so would be a complete brain fart. Honestly think picking for needs is dumb in the top 20 you always go best available, so in that case I wouldn't go Tauru at 9, I just think there's better talent. I'm not anti Tauru but I just doesn't seem the right fit at all.
When the top 10 are all as good as each other on any given day, then you do go for needs based options.

I don't want Lindsay for some reason so I'm looking forward to melting on here tomorrow
Hits too many targets, can't be having that

Your hate boner for Fritta is weird. If he was super physical he'd just about be the best forward in the comp.

Alas, he's great at everything else as a forward. Finds space, great mark, excellent converter (usually), can make things happen out of nothing .... without him up forward we'd have a bunch of slow donkeys who try hard but do little else.

Levi Ashcroft slipping to pick 5 in the mocks is ludicrous, he is the consensus #1 prospect. The problem is compounded further by the 20% discount Brisbane get by paying for him with a bunch of junk picks.
Can someone explain this to me like the moron I am?

Why doesn't Richmond (pick 1) just call his name out and force Brisbane to use as many junk picks as they need? It doesn't cost Richmond anything does it? And if the unlikely reason Brisbane pass, Richmond gets the clear best player.

There’s prestige in having the #1 pick at your club. Plus the player that goes #1 gets a prize, $20k or one thing like that. Also the player Richmond would get would know they weren’t Richmond’s first choice.

Adelaide pulled the trigger on Ugle-Hagan with a pick #1 bid.

Weren't you going on about people spelling his surname incorrectly yesterday? 😂
