Topkent's brother mickent drinking the club koolaid.

What Theseventhhamster is saying is sound, decent chance all these drongos aren't here when next offseason rolls around and the club will want to go in a completely different direction than Mr. Contest & Defense.

If you had a private competent owner of this club like in US sports there is no way he'd allow this to happen. campaigners would be out the door, not being allowed to spend future assets as they please with the state they have the club in.

Anyway, whatever. It could be worse still, we could have traded two firsts for Houston, at least it's some kids.
Eh, you've gotta get on with it. If the club reckons the coach isn't going to be there in 12 months then just piss him off and bring in the new regime now. If next year is a disaster and he gets sacked and someone new comes in in a year with a new vision that doesn't include a bunch of our current players then you just trade them when it comes to that.

As you said, the trades we are making are for draft picks at least so we're not shooting ourselves in the foot like Hardwick at Richmond bringing in Hopper and Taranto. But again to use the Richmond example, it's Yze's team now and they are giving him the tools to build the list the way he sees fit.

I’m happy going picks instead of flogging off 2 top 10 picks for Houston like originally reported.

Hopefully we can flog off Oliver and get another pick or 2 still.

Sounds like they are all trying to shoehorn it on Port
Yeah it's kinda crazy Port have been super consistent on this saying two first rounders or he stays and pretty much every team has tried to lowball them since. You could say that's representative of his worth on the market but ultimately he's a contracted player and they hold the cards. If Collingwood can't come up with the goods they should absolutely hold him to his contract.

Houston will get to Pies this is the standard manufactured trade week drama.

Also never knew Jon Ralph was such a dud with his sources.
He's gotten really shit this year.

Genuinely think the monster deals everyone is getting is completely stopping player movement.
Kinda like a truck driving down a lane specially made for bikes.

I also think this trade period is in dire need of a laxative.

Should lock all list managers in the big brother house for a week and stream it 24/7. It genuinely can’t get any worse than this.

Ironically i actually think we are winning trade period Steven Bradbury style since every other club has done sweet **** all.

Tim Lamb on another List manager in the Diary Room: "Who is he, who is he? Where did they find him?"

Morris and Edmund are the only ones these days who seem to get any actual mail, McClure and Ralph suck.
Twomey is pretty good too, but yeah, the latter two get nearly everything wrong at this point.

Houston should just go to North if he wants to get home.

Bloke wants his cake and to eat it to.

Has created an absolute mess by being fussy about this.

Bit like Cats wanting both Oliver and Smith. They have collateral to get either deal done but as piss farting around trying to get both.

Twomey is the confirmation guy. He's basically never first but he's always right.

Houston has been fussy? He has apparently been open to playing with us, then Pies and Blues.

Think you'll find it's Port that's being 'fussy' in chasing the highest return.

He is contracted, it’s Ports right to.

Why did Houston sign on if he didn’t want to stay in SA?

Also Houston had chance to come to us and changed his mind over Trac having a public sook when it had nothing to do with him.

Then North offered collateral which would be sufficient and he still declined because he only wants to join a big club.

That’s as fussy as it gets. Has had multiple avenues to get back to Melbourne already.

Player requests trade and is open to joining multiple clubs within a state

So fussy!
