GWS bit of a exodus makes a direct competitor a bit weaker. Daniher retiring is a big loss for the Lions although they're getting the no. 1 pick the other Ashcroft coming in essentially. Bar the club with the unlimited salary cap somehow bringing in a bunch of guns all the other clubs seemingly about to make the big list improvements from trade finished middle tier.

So while I'm skeptical that we'll be much good given the mental side, the talent is on the list and while I know there'll be no incoming stars hopefully we make a gain or 2 if we're serious about trying to stay top 4 ahead of these clubs. A shrewd pickup like we used to do would be timely right now. Need a bolster in depth at least. Gotta be trying something to improve.

But, thank **** Stringer is out of the equation, last thing we needed was another player to just coast on talent most of the time when the games on their terms only to go missing when it gets a bit hard.

Corey Warmer to throw a massive curve ball and request a trade to one of the WA clubs. That would put the Swans in a tough spot.

Give them Corey instead though to be fair Corey showed a few signs he’ll only be depth though that’s fine

Yep. Just demand a higher pick because essentially you get Chad the next year too.

OR, draft their younger brother when he becomes eligible. Tell Chad right now, sign a 6 year extension if you want to play with your little bro because we will be using our 1st rounder on him, we don't hit on them anyway.

Oliver will get traded. They’re just posturing. My guess is trying to bait Geelong into offering up SDK
You may be right. Given the way the Cats haggled over the Ratagolea trade last year I'd love for them to be on the receiving end. That said they really don't have much draft capital so can understand if the Dees held firm and asked him to look for another club that can at least satisy a decent trade.

So Oliver won't be going to Geelong.
Breaking on Trade Radio. He is staying at the Dees. Not his choice.
Basically they said we aren’t copping full $$$ and Dee’s went ahhh no.

It’s an awkward one as makes no sense to push him out, no salary cap issues but they will get reamed in any trade value wise……

I can see him going on last day of trade period for a future first and dees cop $100k a year for 6 years

We all just want to see how much Stengle, Oliver and Bailey Smith will get up to. I’m all for getting Oliver but if we already had one not sure I’d be getting the other two! Too much off field stuff

Honestly i forgot we are even in the trade period lol.

We arent even linked to any 1% rumors to generate discussion!!!

This year it would have to be a very good reason to give up top picks if anything you want more (ie Chad trade). Best draft in a decade

Exactly. Don't want anyone's cast-offs for draft picks this year.

Get in a couple of 190cm or above players with some acceleration and toughness about them with our first two picks.
Don't have to be true giants as we need a medium/big back for Rampe and a forward who can actually get away from their marker with pace. They just need to be athletic and tough. Country or outer suburb tough, no more skinny private school boys that Kinnear wants to meet on Grindr.

If everyone stays calm and looks at the list we have, we are cherry ripe for a flag. We have so many top line guns already locked away. Just think what another heavy off season in the gym will do for their body’s. Plus the added consistency that comes with experience, This team will be primed to rip the competitions head off next year.

We were primed this year. It wasn't physical, it was coaching and mental, and there's no guarantees it will get addressed.

We do have some suspect areas still.

But we already won 19 games this season :tearsofjoy:

I dont think we pace ourselves well you dont need to be 13-1 Brisbane at the time were looking cooked and in 11th!

I think this might be misleading. Cleary was the one getting in and under and getting the ball to McKercher and Sanders. It may be that these short taps and handballs were not counted as clearances.

Cleary and Rogers were a great one / two punch. CC could really find the ball at an U18 level.
