How do we not need forwards?! Our best player plays 4 games a year. Our next best goal kicker we traded to Freo and the next one in Mansell couldn’t get a game or started as the sub/back before this year.

We desperately need forwards and with 6 picks it was always going to happen. We got the best defender in the draft we don’t need anymore. We got hopefully 2 quality mids who will set us up for over a decade and potentially the best medium forward post injury.

he's gonna be up n running for preseason but he's starting in the rehab group partly because injury, but also because he's lacked footy preseasons being a gun cricketer

so there's every chance he's ready by rd1, but his aerobic base won't be close to max so he might start more fwd with short stints in the mid at first

I hope we take it cautious with him, which it sounds like we are, because the dude had a horrid run of injuries at the end of last year and during this year which probably ended up resulting in him doing his hammy cos he was that underdone

have to be cautious with Lalor, no rush at all if we use our brains

Draft didn’t fall for st kilda. They wanted mids but the best talent at their picks was two back flanks.

I think they’ll be amongst the best in the draft for what it’s worth.

1 thing i also noticed was that most of the draftees (Lalor, Smilie, Hotton & Trainor) are aggressive in their kicking. Risk takers but if their kicks pull off then it's a score. We have been missing that this year with only Rioli making those sort of plays.

Nirvana played 2 nights at the palace in jan Feb 1992. That's the show I went to. I didn't see pearl jam until a few nights ago. They were pretty good actually.
