If Essendon come to us with their future 1st, we have to do the trade. If not I'd want us to take Jacques or Ough.
F1 and a pick for Dodson haha

Could be but we need talls and we’ve picked up the only two key talls that were drafted first round. Either the kids that are small are too good to pass or the talls aren’t so good this year.of all the selections, this looks like the biggest reach by far.
nothing to do with the player but serious scrutiny in coming years I think
Lash out a bit!?might get maccas
Yeah but JackLaughing will still be aroundThank ****ing christ we should be seeing a hell of a lot less of tigs2010 and richoatthedisco after the draft is done tomorrow evening.
I'm glad to get Norf's F1, but the trade wasn't that much in our favour, it's a win, but not a complete robbery
Based off 2025 points, Pick 27 & 32 (estimated) is worth around Pick 16, and in 2024 points it's worth Pick 12, so it's still a win for us as long as they don't click and make a finals push.
I wonder if we would have taken him ahead of Smillie if both available. He from the Peninsula, not Dandenong. He's a tiger though. He'll get traded to us somehow.
If they don't then Operation Harley Reid is on for them for sure in 2025.If Essendon come to us with their future 1st, we have to do the trade. If not I'd want us to take Jacques or Ough.
career suicideIf they don't then Operation Harley Reid is on for them for sure in 2025.
You don’t think every clubs medical team aren’t all over this? Do you think these kids weren’t going to get drafted due to injury concerns? He was a freak even the acl couldn't stop him. But different game now it's so fast and if you look so many players going down not with one acl but multiple. Game is just to hard on players and when they are doing it in nappies well doesn't go well. Young ones with concussions also don't have a good record. We somehow went against the trend and out of 6 picks we snared 4 with major problems. The more I look at it the sicker I feel and my hope of a resurrection is lost lol.
Thoughts on the haul big boy? Most accurate thing you've ever posted.
Trainor will be better and we do not need forwards like we need players in other areasCould be but we need talls and we’ve picked up the only two key talls that were drafted first round. Either the kids that are small are too good to pass or the talls aren’t so good this year.
Bringing in Faull maybe 7 spots or 10 spots at worst too early is nothing at the end of the day. As of last week Armstrong was top 5 going to Melbourne. Things change and our biggest area for needs are tall forwards. We took 6 picks, 2 were always going to get picked.
We all thought Armstrong will be gone and Shannahan would be our pick but so be it, Faull’s competitiveness and consistency seems to outweigh the likes of Shannahan and Whitlock to our recruiters and I’m pleased (also switching Armstrong to 14 and Faull 23 is an easy way to switch the narrative)
No but after last couple of seasons I would have thought they would have thought about it a little bit.You don’t think every clubs medical team aren’t all over this? Do you think these kids weren’t going to get drafted due to injury concerns?
I know the points don't matter to us as we don't have any academy or FS kids to worry about, but it is a way of calculating how fair a trade was. If it was an outright swap of their F1 for 27 then I'd be running around the pool table with my pants around my ankles, but it being a slide and giving up the 1st pick of Day 2 means it's just a likely win, potentially a big win, but could just as easily be a wash.Forget the points … it’s completely irrelevant in this situation. Let’s put it this way … North pick might be 8 if we’re unlucky.
People were laughing when suggested Saints trade 8 for 18 and 20…. In a super strong draft.
It’s a win for us. But if M Whitlock is a really good player then North will be happy regardless.
Pick 1 as well?I know its a long game and not about 2025, but Smillie is the only one with a chance of playing. Would have liked a little more to look forward to.
Can we just fast forward to 2026 please.
Not saying he won’t be. I was talking forwards not defenders.Trainor will be better and we do not need forwards like we need players in other areas
i wish melbourne took smillie i really think langford will be itI wonder if we would have taken him ahead of Smillie if both available.
Faull is better than Shanahan. Toughest KPF in the draft. Why not Shanahan if we were going to go with a tall?
Was decent in the carnival, but I don’t think this is the best use of our pick
That’s a funny image!! But if your pants are around your ankles not sure how far ur running?….I know the points don't matter to us as we don't have any academy or FS kids to worry about, but it is a way of calculating how fair a trade was. If it was an outright swap of their F1 for 27 then I'd be running around the pool table with my pants around my ankles, but it being a slide and giving up the 1st pick of Day 2 means it's just a likely win, potentially a big win, but could just as easily be a wash.
I suspect not but it would have been tight. He wears Richmond stuff to school whenever he can so I wonder if he finds his way to Tigerland one day...I wonder if we would have taken him ahead of Smillie if both available.
Only way to get Langford was to pick him at 1anyone else would of preferred langford over smillie? i feel like langford will be better
