Matt Rosa has already shown his hand as a panic merchant with the Kako fiasco. I reckon there's a good chance we fleece Essendon for a F1. Who they then use for Shanahan who is Weideman 2.0. I'd want a pick slide though, think there's a ton of talent left in this draft.

B: Trainor, Gibcus/Miller, Trezise
HB: Brown, Balta, Smith
C: HRS, McAuliffe, Banks
HF: Campbell, Faull, Hotton
F: Mansell, Armstrong, Bauer/Fawcett/Gray/Kozi
R: Ryan*, Lalor, Smillie
Int: Ross, MRJ, Clarke, Sonsie, Green, Dow, Blight
Our main areas of need are ruck (if none of our existing rucks come good), half-backs, quality small forwards, and more midfielders.
Getting Norths F1 gives us the ability to land two top mids in next years draft which could be perfect for us.
I have no idea what we are going to do with 8 tall forwards but there is quite a bit of athleticism in half the group. We may end up playing 4 of them in the AFL, especially if Lefau/Bauer are in there.

This years draft also had 5 compo picks
Battle, Perryman and Cummings plus 2xnorf, we don’t know what we’re doing just throw more picks at the problem, priority picks from the afl.
Also this years afl academy intake had 8 kids tied to clubs (only 4 taken so far) vs 7 kids tied to clubs next year.
LDU is probably the only FA getting an early compo pick next year l who might move, so I think our 2nd will be 22-25.

Great work last night by the club. As Blair mentioned drafting for our next premiership, and getting the type of players that’ll stand up in finals football.
He’s putting the building blocks in place, remembering this is only the beginning of the rebuild, we’ll have plenty of A grade talent via the draft over the next couple of years and add a FA or 2.
Geez Langford did not look impressed last night to be heading to the Demons, and thought there was maybe a bit of angst from Murphy Reids old man. Reckon both these lads would have loved to be at Tigerland.

I was watching it with a couple of mates and we all thought it came across that way, but perhaps we were reading too much into it. It’s an emotional night, for the players and families, so sometimes people just say any sh!t that comes into their head.
I’ll rewatch the interview later today. See if first impressions were correct or not.
