I'm really wondering what to do with Jackson having started him. I've already got Heeney and Powell, and I've got plans to get Flanders with Jordan on his bye. There's just no other top liners I'd want to trade Jackson to. I think he'll be around the mark of a top 6 forward, so I'm thinking he's a hold for a while even when Darcy is back
I think it’ll be a luxury to trade out and us owners just need to hope that his scoring stays ok on Darcy return. Always going to be an interesting risk of starting him as its prime upgrade season and he’s not the type your ideally trading out.

Itlll be a loss if he suddenly starts putting out scores that force a trade or bring his average right back to the priced at one we purchased him at

Probably hold for a few weeks to assess the role. Fairly decent chance Darcy could break down again too

Trade in Flanders this week from Zilliams & Billings and get in merrett the week after. However I'll be without Bonner and Zilliams and barely any cash cows after round 5. So I'll be stuck a bit in no mans land.

OR

Trade in Dempsey & Gallagher from billings this week and get in flanders the week after. Then I'll still have midpricers like Bonner and Zilliams to upgrade after round 5, including some good cash gen.

Same here... Looking at the earlier post on possible new DPPs, the only two gaining FWD that stand out to me are JHF and Sanders. Neither of them are likely to score much more than Jackson, although you would end up with a bit of extra cash. Barring some disaster when (if) Hodor comes back, I'll be sitting on Jacko for a few rounds at least.

Interesting dilemma for me considering who goes this week out of:

Reid
Lazarro
Wilson
Clark

Clark was my planned trade but just had the highest score of any of them and also being the lowest priced not has the best BE so he stays

I’m leaning to Wilson going as his 35 is going to hurt his cash gen for a bit. He showed great ceiling in PS but just solid in season

Reid I did consider but at least his JS is strong. Not sure how the JS of the others compares and if any specifically have concerns that should bump them up the trade out list (including of starting in a vest)?

(This is to bring in Thomas)
I would say it definitely comes down to Wilson and Reid at this point
Wilson’s lineup is juicey this week

Trades this week going be incredibly vanilla for me. Given we revert back to best 18 for two weeks after this, I'm going to accept a mediocre score this week in order to keep cash ticking over rather than smash up my planning to chase points. I'm 100% going to grab Thomas. Then the second trade will be dependent on loop scores from Thursday and Friday night.

Howes (Def), Xerri (Ruck) and Lazzaro (Fwd) loops.

If Xerri goes 110+ or Lazzaro 70+ I'll bring in a dead R3 in order to free up a trade next week to move Grundy on on his bye.

H. Reid likely the one to go this week. Then either Zilliams or Wilson.

flanders can wait a week with his match up against the giants imo and he shouldn’t go up too much.

Not sure what to do this week. Straight bat trades are Fyfe + Fisher > Dempsey + Flanders but it feels a little premature to be moving Fisher on with best 18 rounds coming. I could go early on upgrading Williams to Clark / McGovern but my defense is stacked and I've still got to fit Daicos in down the line alongside my 483 soon-to-be DPP defenders. My gut says to go value but the best value options this week are in the midfield and I just don't need mids yet. Or for the next bloody month.

Agreed. Best case scenario he drops a poor score out at Mt Barker and we can get him at a discount in the coming weeks.
Yeah this is what I was thinking possibly, the GWS matchup could be a tough one. Probably the only issue with going two rookies in this week is I might lose points if Flanders scores well. Dempsey and Gallagher would be my f5 and f6.

I can afford Jordan and Sexton to Powell and Zorko however, just going to wait as I’m still not 10000% on Zorko.
Going in the week with cash so I can upgrade Jordan next week to Flanders.

Final trades (unless someone convinces me to not sell Reid and to sell Wilson) it’s:
Reid > Thomas
Sexton > Powell

Think I'm settled on Laird to Steele (105 guy fwd time, vs a top 5 mid) and cash grab

Howes to Gallagher for DPP, field him f6 with demp f5.

Then next week go Harley type down and Jordan to flanders. It's a luxury trade but can't get fisher up to flanders this week so Laird's my biggest problem.

Obviously, the ownership on Sheezel was too high for me to avoid (61%) ......so Sheezel comes in, Naicos goes to the midfield, where there's good bench cover for him next week

I covered that Sheezel high % ownership by bringing him in last week. Can highly recommend it as a means to reducing stress. :thumbsu:

Any suggestions on trades this week?

Def- Sheezel, Whitfield, Young, Yeo, D’Ambrosio, Z.Williams (Howes + Reid)
Mid- T.Green, Bont, Steele, N.Martin, Crouch, Bonner, Roberts, McKercher (Sanders, Clark)
Ruck-Gawn, Grundy (Barnett)
For- Heeney, Powell, Fisher, Jordan, Reid, Gallagher (Cadman, Wilson, Campbell)

26k in bank

Was strongly considering M Crouch, but he just had first born child this week (mazel tof!). Concerned his output would drop off as a result.

Does anyone know any examples where form dropped off after having a kid ?

I think Sloane was an example.
Dom Sheed probably the greatest recent example.

Became father of Collingwood in 2018 and has barely had a kick since.

Alot of talk on Thomas but cant get past the first 2 games, odds are he gets 30-40 and stays there? Minimal cash gen in the long run?
Most likely. During the West Coast game, he was suddenly around the ball more playing a wing role and for a small guy, he likes to tackle. But, the opponent was West Coast. There's just not many players around his price range to downgrade to. It's either him or Uwland. Both will probably score low, but now we know Thomas has a higher ceiling.

Is there anyone better value than Bonner for Windhager? I'd have 170k to spare
I had Yeo in midfield because of the byes/trades
