After all the uproar about Levi yesterday, I just about spit out my drink when I heard her just say “Isn’t the father son rule one of the best parts of our game”

Levi, Sam, Ty and 3 future thirds is good stuff. Those future thirds have basically no draft value under the new bidding system but better to have them of course.

First 54 picks have value under the new bidding system. For this year, pick 55 is the last of the third rounnd. Actually will end up with a tiny amount of positive value on points for next year lmao.

3rd rounders still have value, 4th do not. The value is not high, but picks that will still be in demand. We’ll also see picks slide up in value as other bids are met.

for future picks to have value for us - does it mean we have to delist a heap of blokes next year? I assume there are many ways we can use these picks before we get to that point though. Just don't see much value in them tbh after bids they'd be like pick 60s. But good to have I guess.

But Essendon just improved on it a little. Managed to get St Kilda's future 2nd for a similar pick, gave back a future 4th.

Yeah I did the calculation after that post. In the totality of the trade period it is probably a wash given we traded out our future 2.

But it is very very funny we've escaped scot free from Levi and Sam, and possibly ended up ahead on next year depending on where those future thirds land.
