Why wouldn't you be. The best list in the comp just got better. Yeah we lost Daniher and that's a big blow but the draftees plus the injury returnees are all massive talents, some of them proven. Our list management team will be highly sought after when their contracts come up.
From the outside it really seems to be a TEAM rather than a single key figure as we hear from some other clubs so hopefully even if one piece moves on the TEAM can endure and keep the great list management going.

Funnily enough the second lot looks pretty similar to the draft hand we took into the night:

"Lions had accrued picks 27, 34, 42, 43, 49 and 58"

As Roy Jones Jr once said, “Can't be touched, can't be stopped”.

Do the new bidding/matching processes mean if we make a Prelim we will only be able to match 1 academy player bid in the first round? Hopefully my boy Geesu doesn't light up his under 18 year too much in 2025 and isn't a first rounder.

Pretty sure that was already in place. Had the Suns finished top 4 last year they wouldn’t have been able to get all 4 of Walter, Read, Rogers & Graham.

The bottleneck is coming for us, then. We should be alright next year unless Geesu flies up the rankings, but we have two strong prospects for 2026 and three for 2027. And everyone's picks will be pushed back in 2027 by Tasmania entering.

Have to make room for the son of Lion's legend

Interesting tidbit mentioned on one youtube draft coverage, Ty Gallop was doing one on one training with Petracca over the off season.
Is Petracca ok ?

Ty is getting a bit ahead of himself if he is already training with petracca learning how to make Instagram cooking content

I'd be getting on Trac for the Brownlow this year.

After all that's happened he probably realises that all he wants to do now is play footy.

Better for getting cross-promotion too. He'll be motivated as I'm sure he's eyeing off a guest judge stint on Masterchef.

I just realised something.... Marshall didn't test at the combine, but won our 2km time trial. Coincidence or we hid him?

Mightve gone a bit higher if he won the 2km at the combine.
Maybe, but from the POV of the kid, there's no benefit testing if you have a club committed to you.
