Making the AA isn't easy and it doesn't just happen. Especially in tight spots like the midfield. Also didn't he get injured at the start of the season? Woopty ****ing doo alright.
It's only happened once and what's the bet it never happens again.
This is classic Essington being impressed by one AA.

And this is classic taking something 200% the other way. Last time he was not injured and missed long periods he played good football. He is not a star but he is not the spud you make him out to be.

But he plays in a position where he should be a star. He's not a spud he's the new Snelling

Ideally would like a mercurial sort of taller small forward.

Archer Day-Wicks, Sam Davidson, Sam Toner, Ned Bowman, Nathan Sulzberger

Have banged on about this for a while. with Stringer leaving, ideally need to develop one to fit in with the current set up in 1 - 3 years time

So all midfielder have to be stars then ? Like I said. If he is fit and you block for him he will win you clearance at a very high level. If he is not fit then he is a liability. He can be replaced but if you have him injury free and you work with his one wood he can be very effective.

I couldn’t think of too more opposite players to be comparing.

Snelling main quality was effort and defensive intensity but just not up to afl standard athletically. Parish on a good Day is one of the best players in the comp and on a bad day a traffic cone

I think thats what they think Perkins is but im not convinced

Would be keen in this area. Can be a genuine small forward aswell to hopefully fill out the 3 mosquito fleet of Kako, Davey and someone else

But i like some of those names mentioned. Youd think Alger be right around our range aswell, from memory i liked what i saw with ned bowmam but he was doing it a bit more on a wing, but the attributes certainly looked good for a forward

I thought Perkins looked better up the ground.

The last name we really drafted before Perkins in this role was Jordan Houlahan (yes probably missing one or two, point remains)

It's an area we've neglected. A fwd half mercurial match winner. Perhaps Munkarra as the last one.

If we can nab one, id be happy. Developn for a couple of years and then have lift off.
