Bit of a no brainer, the ship is sailing beautifully as is, not sure what value add Don could bring in the current climate. Was great for us as a player and during the merger debacle but that was almost 30 years ago. Enjoy being a life member and Hawk hero Don, you've done enough.

People forget that when Don was on the board late 90s-2000's how incredibly bad he was. Well documented from fellow directors at the time. As Ken Judge said to him directly "You saved this club, now f@#k off back to your TAB in Sorrento".

When Don said it would be better to not win any more games? Plenty in here support that reasoning

It’s a shame this is dominating the dicussion

Didn't vote for Don but you can hardly question his passion for the club.

I can question his passion for the club as it currently stands, 100%. He said after the 2008 grand final that the win meant ‘nothing’ to him and he didn’t identify as a Hawthorn supporter. He’s said similar things on multiple occasions. I think he has a passion for what the club was when he was a player but not for the club now.

Will agree to disagree. Don is all bluster. He has 2 things in his life the Hawthorn Football Club and his horses. Yes he goes about it the wrong way but you cannot fault his passion.

In the many times the media have previously gone running to Don for a quote he has made it known that he no longer watches Hawthorn games or associates with it. Until the next time the media come running for a quote.

There is absolutely nothing that Don can offer this board. Thanks but no thanks Don.

If I had a penny for everytime I've heard Don Scott say he cares nothing for the club...I'd have a guinea, and two shillings sixpence!

What is Don's key reasons for wanting to join the board and what does he stand for ... his key areas to address?

If he hasn't provided...whose votes does he expect to win bar people just voting for him...well just because !

Perplexing human being ... a legend of the club no doubt ... but that doesn't mean you will add value in a board position ... the two are separate matters.
