Ran the Mornington TAB not the Sorrento one. Seriously doubt the good people of Sorrento would allow TAB in their town.

There was one in Sorrento. It closed some years ago. I was advised Don ran it but may have been misinformed as I never went there.

Most TAB's not connected to pubs have been closed for years. Not sure you can pin that to Don.

There’s about 50 of them in Melbourne alone - clearly they can do okay if run well.

You’d have it by now. Check you junk folder, also check if you have any affiliated emails that you used to sign up to HFC(something I had yo do).

Fortunately we have some good operators at the hawks who won’t let a bad board derail the club, I’m still suprised Don can even attempt to get on the board though, such a significant corporate/community business needs strong corporate governance and not any risk from people just opposing for the sake of being contrarian…it’s actually a real business

There’s a touch of old man yells at clouds when it comes to Don.
A club legend who should be treated with respect (although a bit before my time when it comes to his playing days).
Apropos of nothing, for some reason my YT feed recently came up with up with a clip of him absolutely poleaxing Peter Moore at the centre bounce one day. Don comes in off the long run, no eyes on the ball and just charges into Moore at full speed. Classic.

I'd like to think he funnelled a bunch of votes just by being the first name on the ballot and that there are a bunch of members who don't follow things closely and maybe just voted based on name recognition.
