Surely Lukey Ryan's gotta be in there

You would have to think so considering the amount of kicks he does backwards and sideways around the backline. He doesn't turn the ball over often.

Normalised

Edit: what you're talking about is the far right column. Of which Luke Ryan is clubhouse leader in the super right red. Normalised means attempting to take into account those kicks you talk of to produce a fairer retention ranking of best kicks.

Cox's return throws a selection spanner? Wtf, haha, no it doesn't.

Well it kind of does in the sense that JL says they’re very happy with Draper & that the back 6 is humming. It takes time to build synergy.

There is also the timing aspect of it in terms of making sure Cox can play 120 minutes & has his touch back. Plus they mightn’t want to mess with the synergy till we have a home game & an easier kill.

So while, all things being equal Cox is a no brainer it does create some legitimate dilemmas for selection.

Jeez this makes our decision to let Acres walk look a lot better (and it marries with the eye test). Still probably a more well rounded player than Sharp especially when it comes to defending and contest work, but as a pure winger? Give me Sharp every day.

This all makes sense but I'd be bringing Cox in ASAP. Draper will be good in time but not just yet.

The AA selection look-in is really interesting, I’m not sure how I feel about Glen Jackovich being the WA rep and go-to guy for all things Freo though.
Pretty sure Pav is in it too nowadays but missed the meeting?

The usualy suspects mentioned for Freo

Serong - Lock
Pearce - Lock for some, watch for others
Young - Watch
Jackson - Watch (only Jakovich really talked about him, real doubtful for this year)
Ryan - Watch (Weren't as big on him as expected)
Clark - was really only brought up by Buckley multiple times, bit surprising but probably a year too early for Clark unfortunately, the old Freo tax of needing to put together multiple AA level seasons to get noticed is in play.
