I thought they prevented players from giving supporting evidence for a charged player.I thought the Tribunal had moved to a model where they don't take any evidence from the players, on account of the players tending to give evidence that was not factual. Ranging from "No, your honour, he certainly didn't hit me. This? Oh, my jaw is just wired because ... I needed help managing my diet." to "He absolutely pinched me 400 times."
And the AFL is even more fixated that appeals only work out on legal technicalities, not anything a player might say about what they did or why, so any sign of Fyfe showing up probably would have counted against him.
As I said before wrong colours, need to be navy blue. Wrong city, wrong state.Needs to be able to employ a silk that is prominent in all circles of the alleged home of football.Hire better lawyers Freo ! We a wealthy club !
Fyfe should have given evidence in a Carlton jumper. As I said before wrong colours, need to be navy blue. Wrong city, wrong state.Needs to be able to employ a silk that is prominent in all circles of the alleged home of football.
No don’t agree . The lawyers dont need to support us so don’t wear coloursAs I said before wrong colours, need to be navy blue. Wrong city, wrong state.Needs to be able to employ a silk that is prominent in all circles of the alleged home of football.
or a Butters maskFyfe should have given evidence in a Carlton jumper.
I saw the video too. It looked to me like he was going to make deliberate contact with Nat’s shoulder.Did you look at the video I linked to
There was no bump attempt . Fyfe is backing towards goals . The eagle player approaches and puts his arms up to presumably push Fyfe . Fyfe puts arms up and his tight hand hits the eagle in side off head
So no not protecting shoulders
Hmm must be a different videoI saw the video too. It looked to me like he was going to make deliberate contact with Nat’s shoulder.
This was a long way off the ball and was unnecessary by the eagles player. It could be argued Nat was protecting a shoulder that has previously been reconstructed.
That’s possible.Hmm must be a different video
when was that from? according to his 'appreciation page' an hour ago, they aren't appealing..
Crowley!I thought they prevented players from giving supporting evidence for a charged player.
There was a time where players gave victim evidence to understate the charges against opposition players
Under some misguided code of honour.
Obviously that wasn’t the case for Boomer who barefaced declared “ yes your honour, Crowley pinched me 400 times throughout the game”.
They not appealing the appeal ! That was from before the appeal that failed .when was that from? according to his 'appreciation page' an hour ago, they aren't appealing..
Freo opt not to appeal after tribunal uphold Fyfe ban
Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe will miss the club’s clash with Essendon at the MCG on Sunday after the Dockers opted not to appeal the tribunal’s decision to uphold his one-match ban.thewest.com.au
Fyfe should have given evidence in a Carlton jumper.
Legit should do this at some point.or a Butters mask
Culley was doing it all day. I am still p1ssed at how he got away with his cowardly slam on Serong after he kicked a goal.I saw the video too. It looked to me like he was going to make deliberate contact with Nat’s shoulder.
This was a long way off the ball and was unnecessary by the eagles player. It could be argued Nat was protecting a shoulder that has previously been reconstructed.
They were flawed but now they are validated.Young the highest rated player on the comp for last 6 weeks based on AFL player ratings
Flawed ratings for sure but some acknowledgement there atleast
I think I'm with you ... but how do black women feel about Beyonce?I feel the same way about Kath Loughnan as black women do about Beyonce.
This is a trick question but challenge accepted.I think I'm with you ... but how do black women feel about Beyonce?
If this is the case then whats the point of going to all that effort for a sub-par beverage?
With Walters, Fyfe and Pearce not playing this weekend, surely we will be the least experienced team of the week!
The picture shows Fyfe moving backwards, eyes on the ball. Culley is leaning into his run towards and focused on Fyfe, ignoring the ball. That is also a summary of how the whole interaction played out. They not appealing the appeal ! That was from before the appeal that failed .
It shows the video of the two players .
I hope Fyfe sticks around next year just to tag CulleyThe picture shows Fyfe moving backwards, eyes on the ball. Culley is leaning into his run towards and focused on Fyfe, ignoring the ball. That is also a summary of how the whole interaction played out.
