Will the loser of the SEC championship be out of the playoffs?
Texas will be in no matter what, Georgia get spanked and lose by 30+ and other results go against them they might miss out.

but most likely both are in, but the loser will might end up on the road first round rather then hosting a game.

So the Big10 isn't going to suspend anyone for the brawl. Lol that's some SEC level bullshit. I guess gotta protect that shared money from Ohio St making it past round 1 in the playoffs

My yearly rant to say the Playoffs suck and all this who’s in, who’s out, etc is there just to benefit one set of supporters only… ESPN, ABC and co.

Ole Miss, Bama, Illinois, etc all fighting on who’s got the bigger 6inch is just lol!

Looking at how the AP poll fell
Oregon/Penn St winner gets bye, loser likely host 1st round
Texas/Georgia is the same
SMU win and get a bye, Clemson win and in
Boise/UNLV win and in. Boise 50/50 chance at the bye
ASU/ISU win and in, ASU with a impressive win and lackluster Boise win or UNLV win they get a bye
Notre Dame host 1st round
Ohio St 1st round road game
Tennessee likely host 1st round

Not sure who wants him, he isnt that good. and not good enough to cover for Lincoln Riley. but with a mediocre or better OC he might be good enough for a team who needs a QB like an Iowa or Wisconsin.

It feels crook to me that teams in the SEC and Big10 are going to lose Championship games, and they're still going to qualify for the 12-team playoff and have a chance of being National champions despite not even winning their own conference.

They've overcooked this with 12 teams, 8 would've been plenty.

It feels like when you're running 5 fantasy football teams, where theres too many variables and you cant workout if its good or bad how one team performs.

There's a lot going on with bye rounds, top 4 conference champs, hosting week 1 and those on the bubble.

Funny that we expected the smaller programs to benefit from the extended cfp, yet Georgia and Bama are set to sneak in with their average results.

the CFP head just said they wont even talk about teams who are not playing this week for moving up or down vs other teams not playing. which also means them keeping Boise at 11 they want to push them out with a loss, but SMU will stay even with a loss unless its a blowout

So the CFP just about said that playing cupcakes in November is better then playing real schools.
I dont think Miami deserve to be there, but neither do Alabama because they have 2 of the worst losses in the top 15.
Out of the 11-14 group South Carolina is the most deserving even with H2H losses to both Alabama and Ole Miss, but are a better team since those games.

Miami > Alabama

Seriously it’s just about $ not about which team is more deserving.

Whoever finishes 12 likely goes to South Bend, Autzen, Penn St or Ohio St. so could be a cold noisy place

I would have thought if they went with the line after next week (if Georgia wins the SEC) arguing that they had beaten the SEC champs so should have a higher ranking. They don't want to leave it to chance

I mean this is entirely the issue with having a system without parameters. If you're just going to go off the 'vibe'...
If it went off vibes the team who get smacked by a 6-6 team and only put up a FG 2 weeks ago wouldnt be there over a team with 2 narrow losses or other 3 loss teams who havent lost since October.
