Josh Allen is 1-4 in playoff games outside the wildcard. Maybe this season could be the year but he’s done nothing yet.

Is he even in the top three of pure passers left in these playoffs?

His defences have given up on average 33.5 points in those loses.

In other words, every other QB in history would also be 1-4 in those games, so I fail to see how this is a criticism of the great man?

Interesting discussion. I’m typically a numbers guy in most things but in this matter I’m selecting who I want to line up at QB to win one game regardless of teammates and opponent.

It’s Mahomes by a decent chunk, then Allen by another (albeit smaller) decent chunk. I’m not sure it matters who they play with or against, they’ll typically keep you in it.

Lamar is knocking on the door, and Daniels might be about to barge through it. But most of us probably thought Stroud would do that this year and that’s taken a hit.

  1. Mahomes
  2. Jackson/Allen
  3. Stafford/Goff
  4. Hurts/Daniels
  5. Stroud

Daniels has had a great rookie year but will wait to see him putting it together over multiple seasons before anointing him the second coming. May regress next season like Stroud.

Stroud may rebound after 2nd year blues but until he does he sits at the bottom of this list.

Mahomes above Jackson/Allen due to getting it done when it matters, either one could jump up to join him in a few weeks (hoping it's Lamar).

Yes. Easy one.

Lamar Jackson is 2-4 before this year in the playoffs that's way more alarming considering his had home field all thru the playoffs a couple of times.
