As a Washington fan, must say am loving what we have done so far. I liked Howell but I think at the end of the day, he is not our future and see us taking Daniels or Maye and letting Mariota help one of them get settled.Dante Fowler a good pickup also, needed some help in that area.

Wilson is washed up and I do think the Steelers will regret the moves they have made sooner rather than later.

As far as Panthers fans, my thoughts are with you; Tepper is a horrific owner and I just do not see them improving at all this season. Living in North Carolina myself, I am surrounded by them haha.

Welcome to the board. Thanks for Panthers sympathy , I need this. I like what the Commies are doing too, Luvu and Chinn in Quinn's defense should be fun to watch. Exciting times with the amount of picks they have inside the top 120 in this year's draft.

I think someone nailed it in a tweet recently posted....Steelers potentially could trade him mid-season to a team in need of a QB after a start has gone down, and get more for him than what the impatient Bears did.

Tho, Im not sure how the agreed conditional 2025 pick would work if Steelers on-traded him before then??

The issue for trading for Fields mid season is he would have to be one of the least system adaptable QBs going around. Surely the team's legit back up to start the season would be more game ready should the starter go down that Fields.

Think that's largely overstated. Every NFL team runs these days similar concepts like RPOs, Levels, Verts, Hi-Lo, Double Crossers, etc.

It's just how they word the plays, and more the fit within an organization, players etc.

Yes they run specific play concepts which are drastically different based on the quality of the players on the field at the time and the tendencies of the scheme being run by the coach.

Reckon calling an RPO with Joe Flacco might have a different result to running it with Fields.

Also, the Ravens had an all black QB room last year - 4 QBs (Lamar, Huntley, Josh Johnson and Malik Cunningham) and the QB coaches were all black too

Dont be testy. Flacco isnt running RPOs. But most the league have them in playbooks, and they all have the same route concepts in regular pass and playaction concepts. So if say Purdy went down, and if Niners needed a QB to keep the run going and liked Fields say, he could come in, learn the lingo, and would not be a fish out of water....Shanahan would have plays thatd suit him, compile for him.

Shanahan won't start a guy he drafted 3rd and spent two years in the qb room with, good luck him relying on Fields a guy he overlooked.

But then again, he used to call Lance keeper runs between the centre and guard, so you have a point there.
