AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Ratts looks healthy, fit and relaxed. He speaks so well and is such a smart footyhead.
Great to have him back.
It's perfect. Getting rid of Clarko and then getting everyone back together under a hungry coach...amazing times. So good to have Ratts and Roughy back the family is all coming back together.
Must be a buzz around the place with the coaches and this young list. If we can grab a few early wins the sky is the limit for improvement in 2024.
Yep I didn’t take his comment as being focused on the defence. I took it more as midfield. Letting the ball transition too easily which was a huge problem last season and a key reason we had many heavy losses. I would have thought it was a key focus in preseason so if it’s still a glaring weakness at times then it’s a worry.Blanky gave us an indication about how they were transitioning to a team defense. How he and the other defenders had been working hard on it. Its still a work in progress but will need time and games together to get better. It can also be a matter of trust. The more they have each others backs in game the better we get defensively.
The above also only speaks about our defenders. I am sure there wasn't much defending going on in the midfield. Defending is everyone’s responsibility.
Our back line has been a weakness, we’ve gone a long way to fixing our forward line so I’m glad to hear our forwards created problems. Shows the new additions are doing what we’d hope they did.Didn’t like the Ratts comment about some of the defensive efforts being poor. Was hoping we would be tightening that up over the offseason.
Yes, hitting the early stages of the draft has stockpiled some promising talent. It had to be done and Sam could see that.Thank FK it is only a couple of weeks until practice matches and pre season games!
Nothing will be 100% perfect this year, but will we will see some highlight’s of what we have to look forward to in the near future in coming years.
An we have some exciting young men in development!
Go Hawks
Numbers balance.Sis deserves to captain a flag, Wadda ya reckon?

Love that the club has been much more open and media friendly since Sam took over. It's really refreshing.
I could be wrong but I think the 4 days started last Thursday (1st of Feb) and back training today. The team was given 4 days off at the conclusion of the camp.
What day was that?
I'm trying to work out if training is tomorrow or Wednesday.
But there were no training reports at all today.I could be wrong but I think the 4 days started last Thursday (1st of Feb) and back training today.
The club has posted photos of today's training and update on Bailey MacDonald's injury. But there were no training reports at all today.
And that's unusual.
