Would give us three targets around 200cm to put defense under serious pressure. All are pretty mobile, and Chol and Ramsden also have the advantage as been very good at ground level for their height. We also would have a lot of flexibility to sub off a ruck for a runner knowing we had three who could play ruck on the ground at once.

Lewis, Chol, Ramsden the tall targets for the high ball, with Moore, Ginnivan, CMac and hopefully Watson as the smaller players at the feet. Would be a very decent mix developing.
Plus Breustttt (and gunna)

Particularly if Chol and Ginnivan give us consistent work rate. Working just as hard when we have not got the ball as when we do have it.

The Burge might be one of the most important additions we have made as a club in recent times. The work he did on sprint and acceleration was so noticeable with Day and Worpel etc this year compared to last year. Got a feeling Ginnivan was a perfect match for us and vice versa, the above being one of those reasons.

I’m hoping to see Ramsden push for that second ruck spot next year, allowing Chol to play mainly as a key forward. The Reeves/Meek ruck combo doesn’t work and we’re better off going with a second ruck who has good forward instincts.
I don't think we'll see a lot of Lewis, Chol, Gunner and Ramsden in the forward line at the same time. If we do have 4 talls, it will be Denver. Chol and Ramsden fighting for the same spot.

Hard to tell in certain angles and in pre-season pics, but one thing I love about Wardy is that he's not going to leave any stones un-turned in his pursuit to be a better footy player. One of the hardest working blokes in it. I'm expecting a break out year on the outside to start the season, and he'll return to being a rotational inside midfielder in the second half.

Would love to see our first midfield of Day, Newcombe, Nash, Reeves; followed on rotation by Worpel, Ward, McDonald/Hustwaite/Mckenzie, Chol; with Moore and Finn as backups (and Sanders/Mckercher if we pick them up)

Agree, but it is a big IF!! Difficult to teach how to naturally kick goals. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
You don't have to do the "I don't rate Butler, I hope I'm wrong" bit every time he's mentioned.

In one of the recent podcasts either sleepy mark or rob mc was very positive about Butler. Gave me renewed hope he may breakout next season. I do scratch my head a bit about you saying he needs to learn how to naturally kick goals. He’s good for a goal a week and has a freakish knack of kicking a goal a week in a highly unconventional manner…which suggests to me he’s got it in his DNA. Clearly he needs to elevate his fitness level to be midfield capable to learn to win more ball.

Sometimes I look at our list and thing we're overwhelmed with young talent. Guys like Butler, Serong, Hustwaite and BMac have a heap of untapped potential. Still think Weddle might have a future in the forward line.

Ward's visible commitment to the team and getting the best out of himself makes me think he'll be a captain one day.
