His arms look fake, abnormally long
Oh god, this is going to spark a metal arms thing again, isn't it.

What was the dig?
I forget word for word but essentially someone asked McKay what the difference was in our training standards and facility or something along those lines.
Draper at the end said something like “And he told me he’s never seen so many fans in one place”. Draper was clearly just shit stirring, I can’t believe they felt the need to edit it out though 😅

Just drapes being drapes 😂

Guess it wasn’t the headline they wanted in slow news season

Jones starting to fill out a bit, hope he can have a full PS and plays all year, he needs it.

Legs are still like twigs, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Hard to do too many leg weights when you probably haven't been able to excess weight through your ankles.

Apparently there will be positional changes... with the aim being to get some more "bounce" out of the back half through positional changes. Scott wouldn't named names, half because it's a secret until the intraclubs in February, and half because he wants to try a few things and if it doesn't work and we don't see it in Feb, then he doesn't want to come off looking like a liar.

Merrett has said something about Durham being capable on the inside and as an outside mid, and wanting to see more of that. Meanwhile Merrett himself is definitely not going to move to half back, Scotty said so.

McGrath and Redman are staying in the backline, they're the ones that will be getting a bit of support. Duursma was recruited for the wing, Gresham for fwd/mid duties, so not those, but perhaps they're replacing whoever does go back?

Langford seems determined to spend the whole pre-season developing some chemistry with the other forwards, in the forward line, so not likely to be him, but given we did see him train midfield and start in the backline at the start of 2023 it's likely to be someone similar to Langford who gets put in the backline I guess. So a mid or a forward that presumably has some leg speed or some good disposal that can be advantageous in the back half?

Makes me think Davey twins, Jones, or Stringer? (Wouldn't that be a sight :eekv1:) Or maybe even Perkins/Martin. If Perkins, Cox and Reid all ended up in the backline it would be extremely Essendon 🤣 Can't help ourselves, almost all of our top draft picks end up playing in the backline...

I think you want a player who has shown a knack for accumulating the footy in the Daicos/Sinclair mould and a willingness to take aggressive kicks. So if not Merrett the only other two that spring to mind are Caldwell and Martin

Martin moves the ball out of the back half as a wing so he was part of the problem last season.

Caldwells probably the best bet if Davey/The rookies don’t work out
