Cerra-Carrol (easy)

Durdin-Motlop (easy)

Martin-Owies(harsh)

Cottrell-Ollie(harsh)

Agree with all of this. Durds works hard but Mots will give us a lot more, including plenty of x factor.

Is there anyone else who could make way for Ollie? He's been good but Cotts comes straight back in. Definitely harsh but it's a good problem to have.

365 days ago we kicked 6.16 to lose to Essendon by 34 points and fell to 15th on the ladder - a full game inside the bottom 4

It is unfathomable how much our fortunes have reversed. I am taking a moment today to soak in not just the current form but how far things have swung. For contrast - round 14 last year vs Gold Coast I (for the first time ever) declined the opportunity to go because the crowd and vibe were so toxic, (and to be honest i was also pretty awful around the footy too...)

20 wins and 6 losses since; a preliminary final last year and currently second on the ladder with a fun draw on the way home.

Such a credit to Voss (and can you imagine that perspective 12 months ago today) buy he has become an absolute master. He's tuning this team like a DJ at the moment, subtly shifting players around and tinkering and eqch game there just seems to be this moment where it all 'drops' and we blow the opposition a way for 5-10 minutes.

Anyway, what an absolute wild ride the last 12 months have been. Hopefully it is the start of something - even a fun era of contention would be great, but so much credit to the club for turning this around so well.

I went to the Gold Coast game with the last of my children I could convince to still attend.
I turned to him at quarter time, with us being 10 points down and said: “I think we are stuffed mate”.
Simply could not predict what happened next.

100% agree.

I think Williams has taken Motlop’s role.

EH has taken much of Jack’s role and also fills in for Cerra at CB’s.

When Cerra comes back I think EH will spend more time forward - EH can take a grab and also beat oppo on the ground.

I don’t think he’s taken their roles I think he plays a very different role in our forward line.Motlop and Martin would transform our forward half.

HF:Martin/Harry/Elijah
FF:Motlop/Charlie/Williams

Good luck with the match ups.

Vossy is showing some really great signs that he has learnt a lot since his first go round as a senior coach where he went to far the other way and was too strict. I was against getting him the first time he went for the Carlton job. But now... he's perfect for it.
I believe he went for the job 4 times. Pagan sacking (probably more courted), Mick Sacking, Bolton and Teague sackings.

Agree. In only a few weeks Williams has shown an ability to crumb off the tall forwards and kick goals, and also win the ball on flanks/pockets and centre the ball - probably better or more consistently than Durdin and Motlop have shown to date.

Owies plays differently and is a lead up marking small forward (that double back and pass from Charlie was one of the plays of the night).

I think Williams, Owies and Fogarty have complimentary skills and are currently working well together up forward.

Can see Cerra and Martin in for Carroll and Durdin respectively, but I wouldn’t see the need for more than two changes just for the sake of it.

Could it also be because it’s a Sunday night.

I don’t think I’m alone in that I generally have a few drinks Saturday night so by Sunday night I’m knackered.
