Cool. Was there any transparency into that the tech actually worked or did they just announce the decision?

Just announced the decision. No discussion like the goal reviews in the men’s game. Goal umpire wanted to call a touched behind. Field umpire may have suggested the review. No microphones so it’s hard to know what went on and what the protocols are for this circumstance.

they called stop to play talked it through then waited for 10 seconds and the goal umpire called it

Goal ump was trigger happy to raise her left arm for a point. Field ump pulled her into line. “ let’s check the chip “. !

Dodged a bullet with that game , we have a lot of players really struggling to handle the ball, and the game awareness to make correct decisions, so many fumblesand poor handballs back into congestion, one defender in particular was really ordinary. Luckily enough we had a few stars who pulled us out of the fire. The jury is still out on the coach at this stage.

The “experts” are tipping the Suns to play finals. Not so with our ladies. To win away was a big effort.

Playing in the tropics after a Melbourne winter preparing is quite huge.

At least one Carlton side got a win!

Weird though how some of the same issues seem to plague the two teams though. Lack of pace, ball usage, structures etc.

We seem to match up well with the Suns, always a close contested game.

Next four games at home which is good, but against some tough oppo. Cats next week (who took it right up to North and ground out a draw) will be a big challenge.

Haven't followed AFLW squad for a long time since its inception. Lost interest cause we kept losing players all the time and it was hard to keep track. Hopefully I follow the full season. Lets go girls!
