Was thinking this wouldn't look out of place in year one.

We were actually a better team back then, at least based on appearances, because all teams started relatively even, and the skill level was similar. Some teams have developed massively, and each player that comes into the team knows the system.

We have a lot of players who are athletes, but don't seem to grasp the running patterns and the percentage plays in footy. We have a lot of players who give handballs that are easily cut off. We either bit off way too much, or give it up just to pass the responsibility to someone else.

Players like Hendrie and Fitzgerald are clearly not AFL savvy. They are placeholders.

They are wearing the Carlton jumper and clearly not up to it. They take it for granted and swap clubs every season chasing money. Let's not sugar coat it. It's a compete joke.

Let's not sugar coat it. We want success and therefore we give constructive feedback as to what is wrong, and how to fix it. If you are here to snipe and don't support AFLW, you're not welcome in the thread.

Guerin, McKay, Hill, Skepper, Sherar, Duursma, Vickers (who was a test this week), Austin - all have talent. Keck, it's too early to tell.

Good is doing better in the ruck than Bri Moody who is way out of form.

Everyone else ... concerning.

Looking forward to Sophie McKay in the draft.

We have a few players who go to a contest and put a hand on an opponent, but don't try to shift them off the ball. Yeah, picking on Dal Pos again but her lack of physicality does my head in.

Cordner and Tarni Brown can play also, but I agree

We better be asking for a few priority picks at the end of the season, even if we somehow don't win the spoon.

The league has ****ed us the last few years.

We won't get the spoon as we can compete well in slogfests against lesser skilled teams.

This is 100% on system and structure IMO. Our team selection is also awful.

did any other clubs get rorted by the afl like carlton did with trades and players leaving for nothing?

Yes. Brisbane lost a heap. They have a good coach and good development though.

Abby Mckay 16 disposals, 7 tackles, 7 contested possessions, 12 pressure acts, 5 clearances in a half of footy. She's all heart. She's the one that got back first to try to stop the last North goal too.

Her fellow vice captain Mimi Hill has 12 disposals, but 0 tackles and 1 clearance. She has really dropped off IMO.

Unfortunately we don't play a lesser skilled team this season, except for the Suns who we only just beat by a point already.

Pies by the end of the season, but they'll win that as they have something to play for.
