Donza i think his sobering thought is we are without our 3 best mids for a difficult start to the season.

We'll see, think it's closer to a 50/50 call. Won't be surprised either way. Personally prefer the smaller, more mobile and pacey backline when you can get away with it.

I like a setup that allows Blakey to play as the interceptor and to take off without having to lockdown on someone. That may require Rampe to play as the second key if we go small.

Personally I'm a stickler for nicknames being earned. It takes a long time for a player to endear himself to me to the level that they earn a nickname. Usually about 6 or 7 years. Blakey, Rowbottom, McInerney, Wicks & McLean will all be eligible next year but Jordon will likely be a veteran by the time he's anything but 'Jordon' to me.

I think I'm scarred from the time I went to a Freo game at Subiaco where we beat them by about 100 points and this Freo fan behind me had a nickname for every. single. player. and he called them out with literally every possession. I felt like somehow making a sign that read, "BUST (COLLECTIVE NOUN) - A GROUP OF DOCKERS PLAYERS."
