USA 2024 US Presidential Election: Trump vs Harris (pt II)

Holy moly m8, over 100k people turned up to Drumpf's rally in crucial pennsylvania (source: Lara Trump). I may have to amend my prediction of a Harris victory... I imagine she has probably thrown in the towel mentally at this point.
Fake news m8, do better.

It was well over 700k! (all with tears in their eyes obvs)

Why are you being disingenuous? Shouldn't you be asking the individual making the claim to explain their position? Am I his/her agent?

Or do those on your side of the ideological fence agree on every single issue so you think that we must all be the same?

It's a bizarre mindset you possess.
You stated the other day that rational right wing or pro-Trump views are verboten - just trying to get a read on what you might consider 'rational' lol

You could always post a rational argument yourself? 3rd time asking I think.

As expected, polls are tightening.

Gonna be damn close.
I wonder if the Democrats will ramp up the Trump is a coward rhetoric/advertising with Harris doing major media this week while Trump refused to do 60 Minutes and Call her Daddy.

Trump campaign had no issue with singling Harris out for being quiet on the media front - time to flip that on its head?

It's a tactic made for doing some wonderful attack ads.

Or they could announce a policy that benefits the average worker?

I don't think any policy announcement would touch the sides - the average worker in those tight states will link the cost of living to the incumbent government. Since Trump started talking about Harris as 'the current government', that is the line that has had the most traction.

Whilst the topics hotly debated in this campaign as been based on fear (i.e. Left is abortion, Right is immigration), the strong undercurrent is most likely inflation. For those about to rebut that inflation is now low, the pace of inflation has slowed yes, but the prices since 2020 until now is still very high. This will be the issue driving the ballot whether people understand Government's role in inflation or not.

I'm sure "Trump is bad" will work 👍

Tax plan? Bigger tax benefits for families offset by raising of corporate taxes
Child tax credit? Bigger than the one Vance has been pitching
Housing scheme? Plan for 3 million affordable new homes and tax breaks for builders doing homes for first-time buyers
First home buyer assistance? Up to $25,000 in down-payment assistance for people who have paid their rent on time for 2 years
Healthcare? Announced last month agreements with drug manufacturers for lower prices for 10 common drugs, resulting in savings for patients of 38% to 79%

Speaking out of both sides of her mouth, letting go of the "change" mantra, playing small target.

If they ramp up the "Trump is still bad" rhetoric it'll make it worse.

Trump is going to have the momentum through October and Harris's lead wasn't/isn't big enough nationally to carry enough swing states with it.

If there is not another dramatic news story in the next 4 weeks then sadly it looks like trump has this election in the bag.

Harris/walz has not been a good choice. Sure they are streets ahead of vance/trump. But thats not what matters here.
Another florida hurricane and more misinformation by Trump et al

Speaking out of both sides of her mouth
Again, would be good to get a specific example here.

letting go of the "change" mantra
Has she? "We're not going back" has been pretty prominent for her campaign

playing small target.
To a degree I guess, not lately though ie. she fronted up for the 60 Minutes interview and that recent big podcast one, Trump invited too but squibbed them both.

It really is incredible how much better Democrats have to be than Trump and the GOP in order to just break even :drunk:
