This is the type of forum that would condemn him as an enlightened centrist and therefore secret bigot, as if thinking there are problems with both sides is a conclusion that only a dishonest and bad person could draw.

This particular podcast, I really don't see how "the left" could disagree with what he says about IDPol being dead and the own-goals committed by the democratic party. Furthermore, there is no real rebuttal to the accusation that Trump supporters expected K. Harris to concede even though their own candidate never would.

Just a really on-point assessment, imo. Highly recommended.

I have been following Sam since his books on freewill, and atheist moral frameworks and truth, those issues I still have an interest in. Sam's meditation app is also excellent. I probably disagree with him on: his dualist view of consciousness; his reliance on technocrats for objective moral values; his advocacy of psychodelics for enlightenment purposes; his blindspots on Israel; his hysterical view of Repubs. I do like his takes on this most recent election, and his views on culture and civilization. I enjoy his flair for take downs of certain folk, even of some people I like, his crisp and cutting remarks are just too good to ignore. I generally find him thoughtful and a bit challenging. He genetally argues and debates in good faith, a rare feature.

So a mixed bag for me, but I keep listening because he has his arguments and I may be persuadable.
