marginal.

He gets the credit for the good and the blame for the bad during his term. We're not going to play the same "but Scott Morrison" game labor has been playing for 3 years.

54% increase in border apprehensions is more than "neither here nor there"

"COVID denial"-you do know it was Trump's Operation Warp Speed is what gave the world the most widely used and effective COVID vaccines?

"Election fraud". We've just had election fraud in local government elections, and our population is far smaller, far less divided and all our voters are registered. I'll leave it at that.

One media and political party's "insurrection" is another ones "mostly peaceful protest" ..like the mostly peaceful BLM riots with $2billion of damage, numerous deaths and injuries and looting that changed the course of the election.

Some world leaders do need to be bullied.
You missed Trump praised the virus vaccince at a rallies and got booed he stopped doing this.

The ongoing blame of the previous government ( The Liberals) by the curent government when things are bad, and the credit for the previous government (Obama) when things were good. Neither are true

It means that the voters remembered, and was a key issue that played a big part in people voting for Trump.

He literally signed the deals for the vaccines to be made.

As for your second point we now know that some our Vic government went too far the other way causing harm that is being still felt today.

On the contrary, the BLM riots were politically-motivated, and even actively promoted by the democrats esp. Kamala Harris. These riots caused far, far more destruction, death and injury than anything that happend on Jan 6. Yet they were described as mostly peaceful "protests".

Yes people like Kim and even some of the Europeans still leaching off the US by not paying their NATO dues.

I have given multiple. You just don't liek the answers.
But what about Scomo?
But what about BLM?
But what about Dan Andrews?

All of these are deflections that don't absolve Trump of any of the issues I mentioned.

Oh and he signed the deal for the vaccines? Like literally every leader ever would do? What a hero. Totally makes up for his mishandling of the situation.

Border control - the people may remember, but that doesn't answer my question at all. What tangible effect does it have?

I don’t disagree with you there - however Fuentes wasn’t invited to it by Trump and instead by Kanye West, who brought 2 other guests along.
I would not have thought they just rocked up with Kanye unannounced. He would have known in advance.

But I agree, he should not have had dinner with him
And yet he did.

I think that shows Trump has nothing against Nazis.

Hm, maybe - but that’s hearsay and just a guess.

Considering how there’s right wing people making a lot of noise about “Pro-Israel” people such as Marco Rubio potentially becoming part of the administration, I’m not sure exactly how that makes him a Nazi (not saying you’ve said this obviously - but might be somewhat implied? I don’t want to incorrectly accuse you of saying something if that’s not what you meant)
IMG_6383.jpeg

But I guess agree to disagree, it seems it’s “left-wing” opinions welcomed, “right-wing” gtfo - I’m personally in the centre and not a mindless follower of any politician (again, not accusing anyone in here of being so), so no offense taken from me - I believe in debate and discussion instead of name calling each other over a couple disagreements 🙂

Nick Fuentes is a Nazi. This is established fact.

I find it hard to believe that nobody checked out the guests before they met with Trump. If so, what is his publicly funded protection troupe doing for their money?

So America Was Great Again except for the all the people it wasn't great for, and for the future generations paying the tax bill.
I bet it was great for all those people got the warm fuzzies over Trump scolding other countries like some old woman in her front yard. :rolleyesv1:
Brightest part of their lives I reckon.

Inflation increased throughout Trump's tenure and only crashed due to Covid.

Biden has a lower Unemployment rate than Trump had:
(Note: Obama took it from 10% to 4.6% and had to deal with the GFC)

Anything economy related, Trump inherited from Obama. Average Incomes were already on the way up and poverty on the way down when he took over. Again, they were down to begin with due to the GFC.

Gun stats are irrelevant until someone has the balls to stand up to the NRA.

The manufacturing jobs, decrease in murders and the border apprehensions are really the only things you can really boast about. And the last one is really neither here nor there.

So, what about those things are so great that you can overlook the deaths caused by Covid denial, false claims of election fraud leading to an insurrection on the Capitol Building, blatant racism, blatant misogyny, compulsive lies, conviction of felonies, numerous sexual assault claims and bullying of co-workers, opposition and other world leaders? Just to name a few.
:thumbsu:

You're arguing with a Fox chyron regenerator.

Sam Harris usually manages to annoy many parts of the political spectrum, a particular skill. And so he does here again, with his take on why Kamala lost.
Brace yourself to be annoyed one way or another. Interesting nonetheless. 40 mins long if you can go the distance.

20.53 "Candice flipping Owens" a highlght to listen out for.

Even though I'd be the first to agree that the trans discourse is a minority issue of minority issues, out of all proportion to the number of people it actually affects, I don't think you can blame Harris for that one. She wasn't exactly shouting "TRANS RIGHTS!!!" from the rooftops.

As Jon Stewart said -

“I only have one problem with the woke theory,” Stewart said. “I just didn’t recall seeing any Democrats running on woke shit.

“And don’t forget about Kamala Harris. It’s not like she was exactly waving around her NPR tote bag,” Stewart said ahead of a clip of the vice-president saying: “I have a Glock.”

“They acted like Republicans for the last four months,” Stewart bemoaned.

I don't know - Harris (Sam) says Repub ads in some locations were 1 third abt such issues. They may have been effective and resonated with folk who were quietly making their observations for the years prior, and their observations were reinforced.

Harris (Kamala) is one of the least effective communicators we've seen. She was obviously being risk free. Did she convince anyone of anything? Joy Reid thought she was flawless. Perhaps flawlessly evasive?

In the end we are talking about some 200k or so vote diff in 3 states. Hardly a lashing. Fine margins. Is there too much over reaction by shrill Dems, and too much smug swagger from Repubs? Possibly Yes and Yes, no?

All the while while Dems post mortemize, lefty media outlets molt, Trump is moving decisively with appointments, some of which are sending folk into either laughter or panic.

Determined to learn nothing.

Jon Stewart, or the Dems?
Well, both. There is a reason the GOP are able to credibly accuse her of being a woke warrior. Because she is. Or at least, she was.
Going quiet on all thing culture-wars for a few months in the lead up to this election is not satisfactory evidence that they’ve exorcised their demons. Given their track record, they really need to renounce all of their race/gender/sexuality rubbish, otherwise the best they can hope for is smart/normal people giving them their vote in spite of all that.
But already we see the excuse making.

I've genuinely lost track of what is woke these days.

Most of it I would have thought is just 'don't be a campaigner' since being racist, sexist and homophobic is pretty campaignery behaviour.

Are solar panels woke?

I'm looking at putting some in, am I woke now?
Just because a term exists doesn’t mean it can’t be misused by a few weirdos.

In the same way “racist” is used by some people to describe “living being”, I’m not going to play dumb about the meaning of the word.

Woke:

Simple past tense and past participle of wake.

Really? Where's this been happening. Seems weird.

Ignore woke culture war issues. Stewart is right, going Republican lite doesn’t work.

The right path for the dems is the Bernie path focusing on the working class and what unites people, not divides them.

The enemies are the lobbyists and billionaires hoovering up all the cash and power for themselves, not regular white/black/gay/trans/latino/men/women etc.

is that also the guy who said kissing a women is gay?

what an odd dude

So Trump (pedo) hires Gaetz to lead the Department that once investigated Gaetz for sex trafficking?

It's Idiocracy pt 2 in the US right now.
