I think that applies to quite a few of them, including Newsome and Whitmer. Given it's a 50/50 chance this time, why not wait until its a clearer battlefield (as they see it).

his favorability hovers around 35-36%, which is in line with his base numbers. When he left office it was down to 26%. The majority of Americans do not like him at all and don't want him near the White House. Most average Americans are currently not engaged in the election, once the season actually starts those 'normal' voters will be reminded of exactly why his approval rating was so low in 2020 and most likely turn out to support whoever it is who is up against him.

It's been around 43% for a while now.

Where did he suggest people inject themselves with bleach?
