And continues, to this day, to claim the election was stolen, thus undermining faith in the election system amongst those gullible enough to believe his claims.Concocted fraudulent elector schemes to deceive or influence the VP and Congress to make him President, just because.
Pressured state officials to just give him the win.
Pressured the acting AG and his deputy to lie to the states and Congress in official letters alleging non existent election fraud.
Explored replacing those principled officials with Yes Men until it became clear that would result in mass resignations.
Conducted a fraudulent campaign in the media and courts, with his associates, inflaming public tensions without basis.
Sent protestors to the capitol to unnecessarily pressure against the certification of legitimate results, where a gallows had already been set up.
Spent hours fobbing off calls to calm rioters and insurrectionists, instead using the time to mock those fearing for their lives and continue to pressure them to abandon their legal duties. Completely disregarding the safety of the legislators, staff, law enforcement and his own supporters.
Yes, we know you prefer the authoritarian. Trying to brush it under the carpet just makes you look weaker and irrational. Own it.
So those people need to be called out. They don’t want free and fair elections.
Let’s not kid glove these people. They don’t want democracy. They deserve condemnation.
If you’re against democracy, what right do you have to be anywhere near a democratic election, voicing an opinion, going to rallies, donating to a candidate’s campaign….
If they don’t want a democracy they should emigrate. Shut up and piss off.
I mean has it really got to this, that we do anything less than absolutely condemn turds who don’t believe in democracy?
Nuts.People making a mountain out of a molehill with Jan6 IMO. Don explored legal options, encouraged supporters to demonstrate "patriotically and peacefully", left office peacefully on the due day. Let's move on I say, who's with me??
Would Dutton allow a convicted felon in? Surely the Murdochcracy would go wild?Australia with ScoMo!!!
Half of them went to prison and Trump did not do one thing to help them. It boggles the mind people still vote for this fraudThere will be unrest
No storming of the Capitol though
Trump's failed at politics.Would Dutton allow a convicted felon in? Surely the Murdochcracy would go wild?
If Trump is going to be president turning up a lunchtime and having little interest is probably the best we can hope forUnsurprisingly, having no interest in your job, turning up at lunchtime and then watching TV doesn’t hit any KPIs. It does lead to failure in most pursuits, even bankrupting casinos.
Not really.Half of them went to prison and Trump did not do one thing to help them. It boggles the mind people still vote for this fraud
I'm not worried about the best we can hope for from President Trump. If Trump is going to be president turning up a lunchtime and having little interest is probably the best we can hope for
The real concern is there are people truly ready to fight an armed insurrection because of these liesAnd continue, to this day, to claim the election was stolen, thus undermining faith in the election system amongst those gullible enough to believe his claims.
What a weird guy.Trump making fun using the widow of the dead rally spectator as a basis of a jokeDonald Trump’s foul-mouthed migrant rant captured in private pitch to donors
Republican nominee claims Harris is threat to democracy in recording of top-dollar fundraiser in Colorado in Augustwww.theguardian.com
Trump told how members of his Florida golf club, Mar-a-Lago, asked to make a contribution to Comperatore’s family. “I said absolutely and they gave me a cheque for a million dollars. That’s a lot of money. Maybe even more impressively we put out a GoFundMe and we raised more than $6m for the group that got hurt, which is essentially three people.”
Then, recalling a meeting with Comperatore’s widow, Helen, he made a risky attempt to find humour in the tragedy. “So they’re going to get millions of dollars but the woman, the wife, this beautiful woman, I handed her the cheque – we handed her the cheque – and she said, ‘This is so nice, and I appreciate it, but I’d much rather have my husband.’ Now, I know some of the women in this room wouldn’t say the same.”
As dinner guests erupted in laughter, Trump quipped: “I know at least four couples. There are four couples, Governor [Abbott], that I know and you’re not one of them. At least four couples here would have been thrilled, actually.”
Things turn completely to shit.I think it’s nuts as well.
But what happens when said country basically votes themselves out of democracy?
