Swan4Life is this the kinda stuff you were thinking about when you mentioned rational pro-Trump views? :tearsofjoy:
The seppos have been manipulating the weather since the 40s m8.

Just lol @ anyone gullible enough to believe these hurricanes are a "coincidence"... probably the same folks who think covid wasn't deliberately unleashed during the last election campaign lolllll... wake up, sheeple!

I'm joking.
Kinda.

Dems in severe panic mode. Kamala is a shoe in to win yet the deep state have tried to kill Trump x 2 and now suddenly a hurricane appears. And happens to be in regions where Trump has 80% + support. Now these people can't vote, how convenient.

Seems like the fix is in

....

Is this how you picture Kamala?

I think a lot of people start like that but then go down the rabbit hole.

Not at all. In fact a lot of people don’t like

- 300k missing kids due to the wide open southern border

- Nearly a trillion being spent in Ukraine and now Israel whilst you can’t afford your home repayments

- Inflation the worst in our lifetime

- Record high censorship

- Indoctrination of children in classrooms with leftist propaganda

——

You see I’m crazy and Trump fans are crazy for not wanting any of this. I should be broke, I should pay record high mortgage repayments, record high food prices due to Biden inflation. No I should pay it shut up and be happy.

I should shut up and be happy that I’m being ripped off in the grocery aisle but it’s for democracy and Ukraine, Israel- they need the money not me.

Also, good to see you didn't go down any rabbit holes yourself there. Phew.

Why do you constantly pivot away from discussions when questioned about your idiocy.

I'll ask again

Are you suggesting that the democrats created the Hurricane?

They didn’t create the hurricane but they steered it to the region they did, 100% yes.

That’s how desperate they are to stop Trump and the red wave.

Now they suddenly can’t conduct voting there how convenient

Ps why don’t you stop pivoting away. Any idea where the 300k missing kids have ended up thanks to the party you champion

Yep. Definitely no rabbit holes to see here.

Love this talking point.

Coz yeah of course, if only Donnie would be elected and they weren't spending that money on Ukraine and Israel of course it would instead be spent on social security and other 'socialist' causes, Trump and the GOP sure as shit would be leading the charge there :tearsofjoy:

How does one steer a hurricane into a region? You are beyond cooked to believe that.

Also inflation is now below the long term average to debunk one of your many baseless claims.

Gee you're going to really be upset when you find out how little the GOP are doing to help

Looks like Mike Johnson has no interest in allowing red states to vote eh

(am I doing it right? :tearsofjoy:)

I believe that a lot of people that support Trump just like the attention that comes with being contrarian.
The only personal experience I can offer is to do with a “friend” on Facebook. Basically we worked together in Sydney’s eastern suburbs on events management some twenty years ago for a while, so we ended up friends on Facebook but we’re not mates.

She’s often dropped into posts I’ve made on fairly innocuous non-political topics, trying to nudge things (pretty clumsily, tbh) towards discussion of Trump or bagging out Kamala.

No one really took the bait and I didn’t pay much attention but recently after a spate of such posts, I had a look at her own feed for the first time.

It was just wall-to-wall with the latest conspiracies du jour (eg MTG’s “of course they can control the weather”), Trump barracking and Kamala dissing, and still flapping on with anti-vax conspiracy theories.

But what struck me was this - I thought I’d find myself on the edge of an abyss teeming with Qanon nuts all selflessly reinforcing each other’s whacko beliefs.

But as I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled, I discovered that even though she’s posting this stuff multiple times a day, she was getting virtually no likes and no replies.

It was very obsessive, and very lonely.

Well I assume you wouldn’t make a claim as extraordinary as that unless you’ve got a complete list of them, so if you’d kindly post that, we can all start looking and find these 300k missing kids and return them to their parents, who must be worried sick.

Shouldn’t be hard either, because, gee, that’s an awful lot of kids.

They didn’t create the hurricane but they steered it to the region they did, 100% yes.
And how exactly do you propose they did that?

See this is the issue with modern day right wing ideology. Apply even the smallest amount of interrogation behind the concept, and it falls apart pretty quickly. And then posters like yourself complain about how conservative ideas are being censored etc..

Take for example your claim about 300k missing kids. I had not heard about this one, so did a little digging.

https://apnews.com/article/fact-che...dren-missing-7ab0cea2fd2238346197429e952baa8b

THE FACTS: This claim misrepresents information in an August report published by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General, which faulted Immigration and Customs Enforcement for failing to consistently “monitor the location and status of unaccompanied migrant children” once they are released from federal government custody.

The report noted that more than 291,000 unaccompanied migrant children had not, as of May 2024, received a notice to appear in court. Additionally, more than 32,000 unaccompanied migrant children got a notice to appear but then failed to show up for immigration court hearings. Those figures came from ICE and covered a period from October 2018 to September 2023. During that period there were a total of 448,820 unaccompanied children released by ICE to the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement.

But experts say it is a stretch to refer to roughly 300,000 children as “lost” or “missing.”

“This is not a ‘missing kids’ problem; it’s a ‘missing paperwork’ problem,” Jonathan Beier, associate director of research and evaluation for the Acacia Center for Justice’s Unaccompanied Children Program, wrote in an email.

I think when it comes to conspiracy stuff there is also a degree of intellectual insecurity playing a part.

Believing in a conspiracy makes you one of the people that can see what is really going on, and the rest of the public are sheep blindly following the narrative. It's a way of portraying yourself as smarter than other people. People typically seek this superiority if they are insecure about their general level of intelligence as a way to have one up on the rest of the general public.

I totally agree.

But I would expect at least a little reinforcing response from likeminded believers. Encouraging her that she’s on the right track - you go girl, something didn’t seem right to you and you’re getting to the bottom of it.

But no-one was engaging with her, for or against, and yet she’s feverishly posting this shit multiple times every single day.
