He has played like 3.5 games. A bit harsh to expect anyone to "show" anything in that. Especially when he has been coached and trained to play the way of another team all season. Reckon he could get another year to actually have time to prove his worth. Otherwise I don't see why we bothered to even draft anyone in the first place.
Don’t disagree. Very small sample size. Will be interesting to see if he gets an opportunity to show something next year or if he will get delisted despite so few opportunities.

His tackle numbers have been pretty good though. Not including todays game, but I think he was getting like 5 a game the previous three game he did play. Today was his worst game though, first time goalless, just the one tackle, and gave away frees. Even the best have stinkers now and then. How he rebounds next week is the important part.

Excellent response by Macrae to being dropped. A true pro, seen others drop the bundle in this situation but he shows resilience and commitment to the club. Don’t want him to leave as he will lift standards wherever he goes, much like cross did when he went over to the dees.

After the AFL effort today Buss, Macrae, JOD, Sanders, Gags and of course Freijah should all be in serious discussions for next week's team

He'll probably be able to average 40 touches at VFL level and below until he is in his 40s. He's just too smart and the ball finds him

Footscray 16.5 101 (where's _STREET_ when you need him?)
Frankston 11.8 74

Nice to see Lachie Smith giving it to an opponent right on the siren. A ruck with mongrel is a good thing.
First team to 100 typically wins the game

Who were the best of the defenders if we need to swap someone in for Khamis and / or in case English is out and Lobb needs to ruck more?

Buss, JOD, Keath though ball in hand still makes strange decisions

A trio of AFL-listed players will return to the VFL line-up for Saturday’s clash between Footscray and Sydney at Tramway Oval.

Riley Garcia, Nick Coffield and Anthony Scott all come into the side for the final round of the home-and-away season, while Jack Macrae, Harvey Gallagher and James O’Donnell return to the AFL side.
Josh Sparkman and Trent Bianco are unavailable for the clash.

Diesel Moloney has been named as the 23rd player.

A victory would guarantee Footscray a top-two spot heading into Finals action in a fortnight.

The match will be broadcast on AFL App, starting at 11.05AM (AEST).

Does the VFL play in the bye week between the end of year and finals? And if so, how does it work in terms of AFL listed players playing if we do/don’t make finals in the firsts?

Not sure if it's changed or not but it used to be if the reserves play and the seniors don't the VFL qualification rules come into play. I cant remember who it was but we had a player who had played the previous final in the vfl when the seniors were also playing but couldn't be named because the seniors had the bye, Jong maybe?
Same thing if seniors get knocked out, even if played all finals in vfl if don't qualify as soon as seniors are knocked out so is any player not qualified for vfl finals

back to the future great scott GIF
