We still have too many players not up to the big time.Invest picks for this years draft?
I also heard that he is going to be a father, son with the goal umpires.I remember someone saying that Rodan is also a member of Essendons NGA...
I am not trading 2026 1st round pick whatsoever. I would trade the 2027 FRP pick though. I am not ruling out us have direct access by finishing bottom 4 in 2026 to get access to Dougie Cochrane. We just need to be realistic, our next premiership push is minimum 3 but realistically 5 years from now.Need a tall defender 199+, small lockdown defender and another defensive mid.
What is the draft crop like this year compared to 2026? Should Port look to trade out 2026 1st rounder to get into this year’s draft? Or vice-versa?
Club needs a reset and stockpile on talent for a year or so.
It's difficult to trade out 2027's first rounder two years in advance. Any kids standing out at the U-16's level?I am not trading 2026 1st round pick whatsoever. So our avenue to draft is trading away Bergman, Butters and the likes that we know won't be at Port for the next push. I love Butters, if he's willing to sign a long-term deal (7 years+) then I'd keep him over getting a pick but if he's out end of next year then I'd trade him end of this year instead. Target a player like Sharp.
First Tassie draft so it's compromised anyways, think we might have some F/S and NGA prospects in that was well from what I hearIt's difficult to trade out 2027's first rounder two years in advance. Any kids standing out at the U-16's level?

why are we mentioning cornes and tredrea. they dont even play footy.F/S
2026 Nate Tredrea
2026 Ethan Kingsley
2026 Raphael Cornes
2027 Sonny Cornes
2027 Louis Salopek
2027 Tevita Rodan
2027 Percy Burgoyne (also FS eligible for Hawthorn)
2028 Leo Tredrea
2028 Jordan Pearce (also FS eligible for Fremantle)
2028 Raf Kingsley
Caro is gonna go on a tangent on Tredders boys.F/S

Exactly so we don't necessarily need that first rounder if we have other good prospects coming through via NGA and F/SF/S

Hi Guys, I'm assuming you'll want to see vision of the SA prospects?
----
There's been lots of talk about how Dyson had a poor opening game of the season here, but I think we can dig a little deeper. He didn't find a lot of the footy, but was played as a high half forward which can become a bit of a graveyard with the ball constantly flying over your head. The touches he did have were mostly clean and constructive, and he had a hand in each of the critical final two scores that got his team up on the day.
When you're the most talented kid playing junior footy you are the game plan, but when you accept the move up to senior footy you have to fit into a structure and you're not likely to be the star. I did feel that he was deferring too much to his teammates at times, hovering outside of contests waiting to receive instead of being proactive, and I'm sure that will change as he gains confidence at the level.

We need a contested ball magnet to develop as Ollie's replacement. Drew's ok but can't be the one we rely on, JHF is still struggling to have an impact and Butters and in particular Rozee have demonstrated they go to water when the heat is on.
Noah’s the son of one of my good work mates. I’ll let him know he made your listSome nice prospects coming from SA this year that I like the look of. Obvious Dyson Sharp is the common name you hear but others to look out for:
Sam Cumming
Noah Roberts-Thomson
Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier
Matt LeRay
Jack Cook
Jevan Phillipou
Aidan Schubert
And I'm sure there'll be more to come as the year unfolds.
Both Ben Francou and Gill Wakelin have had good starts to their respective seasons. Wonder where Wakelin's head is at (hopefully picks us)
This guy, already 200cm, can play back or go forward, may be around at end of 1st rd, if we can get into it.
Daniel Curtin’s younger brother Cody set to join him in AFL ranks after kicking 8.4 in WAFL Colts practice match
You’ve heard of Adelaide young gun Daniel Curtin. But after kicking 8.4 for Claremont in a WAFL Colts scratch match on Sunday, it’s time to introduce you to his younger brother Cody.
Yeah hard to say where he lands on draft night as its a long time to go plus this year will be more complicated with the number of F/S and NGAs. But I am kind of ignoring those F/S and NGA prospects from my list this year so in the open draft pool, he's somewhere in the top 25-30.Noah’s the son of one of my good work mates. If he gets to Crows, that'll be MASSIVE for them. Dan is starting to find his feet at AFL now. This guy, already 200cm, can play back or go forward, may be around at end of 1st rd, if we can get into it.

His father (Kurt) and one of his uncles (Clark) played footy for Sturt at a reserves level with a few league games. Kurt was a great player for Adelaide Uni amateurs and is a fantastic human being.Hes looking pretty draftable
