That's not going to happen, there's what we want and what we'll get. If kozzy wants out then we'll have to deal with what freo can offer. It will probably be a first round draft pick hopefully they can get something in the top 10, maybe throw in another pick. We can hold kozzy to his contract but if we request a trade by the end of 2027 then freo have all the power. Personally I hope we are able to keep him.
My understanding is that it's not the footy club issue but more so Melbourne the city. Actually loves the club and playing under Goodwin but a bit like ANB, now that he's got a young child, i think the lack of extended family support is now a real determining factor.
I personally can't see him waiting out until 2027 to be honest. I think he's pretty hellbent on getting back to WA.

I think we’ll see a different approach from the new president and the board. Can’t see Goody being extended this year unless we have made some significant game plan changes and we are in contention for a flag. But if he is extended again I think it will be next year.

Again i'm just really burnt out with freo and their fans. I would rather send players to west coast just to spite freo at this point. My disdain for them smugly expecting to land one of our players and then actually getting them is annoying
Pickett if something does happen really does feel like the wizz all over again, it's one that stings that just a bit more mainly for reliving the experience. It also feels like asides from White we've gained **** all back from them (although the hogan trade netted us May). Although we did gain the prince of the pockets at one point, the best prince we had at Melbourne. Langdon who i keep forgetting played there is also a win
But to just jog myself down through memory lane of being tilted

Luckily they got a flag out of them but losing Jackson and Pickett before their prime would be devastating on so many levels. Should have been a super draft haul that set the club up for a decade, and both fun players to boot.

I'm looking up their stats at the moment - Wizz had produced much more than Kozz (lead our goal kicking 3 times and won an AA), but I feel like Kozz has another gear to go to still if he can unlock his midfield potential and with the way the game is going.
Different eras and all that, so kinda hard to compare, but I feel like we had a lot of very exciting players in that late 90s early 2000s Dees team, whilst Kozz (and maybe Trac) are the real box office players in this team.
Wizz was my favourite player as a kid and Kozz is easily my favourite player right now. Hard to split.
