I'm looking up their stats at the moment - Wizz had produced much more than Kozz (lead our goal kicking 3 times and won an AA), but I feel like Kozz has another gear to go to still if he can unlock his midfield potential and with the way the game is going.

Different eras and all that, so kinda hard to compare, but I feel like we had a lot of very exciting players in that late 90s early 2000s Dees team, whilst Kozz (and maybe Trac) are the real box office players in this team.

Wizz was my favourite player as a kid and Kozz is easily my favourite player right now. Hard to split.

Completely agree that hes got more and Goody ball is holding him back however, put him in a more free flowing side and there is a decent chance he explodes.

Whiz was definitely a better forward, bit like all modern forwards Koz is a bit more effective up the ground. You'd never see Whiz at a center bounce lol.

Kozzy definitely being held back though, he's the sort of player you set up a forward line to play to his strengths, instead we set them up to play to Petty and Turners strength and expect kozzie to just do his thing

Different eras too though, same way FFs are just dumb campaigner tall blokes who stand still and jump upwards rather than lead and use strength, small forwards are expected to play in the midfield and get 20 touches rather than just do damage forward.

Koz and Trac are good enough to have multiple 5 goal games in their career. Both are held back by the team

Wiz could do what Koz does in the midfield no worries if you had him build a tank imo, he was just such a good forward that youre hurting the team by not leaving him inside 50.

Yeah maybe, more so me point was in those days you'd never put him there where as Koz hasn't even perfected his forward craft and he's now playing up the ground in and out.

When we've actually played him forward the opposition have had no answer, remember 2023 against the Lions he destroyed Starcevich (Who is a very good defender). Could genuinely kick 50+ easily if we played him there more but you just know we won't.

There's so much obsession with height in forwards, Trac on his day is as dangerous a one on one match up forward as their is in the comp. Can literally get you everywhere. Put him 20 out and have Koz around his feet and tell everyone else to **** off

The game vs Carlton last year, vs the Saints the year before. Looks dangerous as playing Goody ball, imagine if you gave him some space and quick ball movement.

Flip side Eddie Betts probably more more crow than blue cause he finished his career better.
