You would know a bit about prime time, because every game between Fremantle and Carlton is prime time viewing when we break your hearts again and again. This comment would have more impact if you weren't a Carlton fan.

To be fair it did used to be really enjoyable for everyone else watching Carlton on a Friday night for many years! You would know a bit about prime time, because every game between Fremantle and Carlton is prime time viewing when we break your hearts again and again.
This will be North's 100 year celebration game I reckonEssendon v North not exactly the most enticing game to played in prime time. AFL would want to be hoping for a big improvement from North
Essendon home gameThis will be North's 100 year celebration game I reckon
oh yep. Interesting. Maybe they are spreading the love on Thursdays and Friday is more the exclusive timeslotEssendon home game
In all honesty, there's only about 3 meh Thu night games on that list. Can only assume the AFL are trying to deliberately kill off Thursday night football.
i hope that qclash is suns home game on sunday night as brisbane had it last year (and it was much success)Sunday night footy 9 of the first 15 rounds, with WCE or Freo as host for five of those nine.
The other four:
Port (Gather v Hawthorn)
Bulldogs (Easter Sun v Swans),
Brisbane (Labour Day eve v Suns)
Carlton (Kings Bday eve v Bombers)
Also - Round 11 = Marvel double header as part of SDN Round.
Carlton host GWS 1:20pm Sat 24 May
then North host Collingwood 7:35pm
Sunday nights set to be footy's new primetime frontier
Get set to finish the weekend with more Sunday night footy as part of the 2025 fixturewww.afl.com.au
Family friendly? Are you new here? They want media friendly.Any chance they could make the draw more family friendly?
Thursday nights and Sunday nights - imagine if you have kids or live in the country?

I don't think this will be an actual double header as the stadium will need to be cleared after the Carlton game.Round 11 = Marvel double header as part of SDN Round.

So there's only 4 games actually starting around 7.10pm on a Sunday night.Sunday night footy 9 of the first 15 rounds, with WCE or Freo as host for five of those nine.

Better yet, imagine they give the marquee Sunday night game to SA (where it's also a public holiday in the Monday) or wherever instead of another MCG "big Vic" yawnfest.Imagine if they started playing a MCG marquee game Sunday night on Labour Day weekend as part of opening round. Such a wasted opportunity. Give everyone a bye in the first 9 weeks spread out following OR.
I think it is a double up in the sense the ground is being used twice that day, as opposed to a gather round type one ticket gets you entry to both. The Marvel double up seems a pretty good idea honestly. Offer a complimentary GA ticket to the other game with purchases of a ticket to one of the games (/with your membership ticket). Work out what the minimum amount of time needed to clear out the crowd between the two games, have stuff going on in the Docklands precinct in that time. Your North / Bulldogs / Saints row teams should pursue it when playing against travelling teams. I reckon you'd get a few people staying for both and pumping some extra money in to the clubs.
You're no doubt right because the AFL lives to almost have good ideas but not really pull them offI think it is a double up in the sense the ground is being used twice that day, as opposed to a gather round type one ticket gets you entry to both.
More likely a huge drop-off from Essendon. We're (again) stinking up 2025 good and proper, at least on win-loss.Essendon v North not exactly the most enticing game to played in prime time. AFL would want to be hoping for a big improvement from North
Wish they would get the **** on with it then. Can only assume the AFL are trying to deliberately kill off Thursday night football.
Crazy the GF rematch isn't prime time
I wish it was commonplace for all interstate Friday night games. Shows the league is Vic centric with the fact a Vic team will be in every Friday night gameTrue, though it sort of is into their home markets. I'm assuming the non-Vic teams still get all their games broadcast into their primary home state on FTA, even if Fox exclusive everywhere else.
